Where are all the satellite trucks? Will the trial be live streamed just like Mikie's?

Maybe the Friends of Crystal Mangum could explain the Bruises:

Amazing.

She managed to go through a half-hour struggle and gang
rape and not get a bruise. But now she has a large lump on
her forehead?

(As she was after the 'gang rape'; compare with her images from the courtroom)

Jury selection to start in Crystal Magnum case
Updated at 04:08 PM today

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Jury selection is expected to start Thursday in the trial of the woman at the center of the Duke Lacrosse case.

Crystal Mangum faces a number of charges, including first degree arson, in connection with a domestic dispute with her former boyfriend in February. She is accused of punching and scratching Milton Walker.

In court Wednesday, both Mangum's attorney and the assistant district attorney wanted cameras out of the courtroom, but Mangum insisted she wanted the media to be there.

A judge later ruled the media could have cameras present.

In the pretrial motion Wednesday, Mangum's attorney wanted evidence from the domestic dispute suppressed from the trial. However, the judge denied the motion.

She was initially charged with attempted murder, but she is now charged with felony first degree arson, three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, injury to personal property and resisting a public officer.

Mangum's attorney argues police entered Mangum's home illegally after police were told to leave.

The assistant district attorney has said otherwise.

Jury selection will start Thursday with each juror screened individually. The process could take several days.

The trial is expected to last about a week.

The WRAL has nothing on Crystal today. I think they've gotten the hint that the readers really don't care about Crystal anymore.

The camera ruling is the best part. I'm hoping Crystal will get on camera and start puking her guts up about Nifong and his deals, the Duke administration's promises, the DPD, and what city hall had to say. And also she needs to throw in what Samaha Khana and Linda Williams of the NandO had to say

If the judge denied the motion then that's a good thing for the DA's office. That means the DPD had cause to enter her home.

.
YES.

The Judge didn't buy the Silly argument that the Police were not within their rights to be in the home. He did NOT buy that the evidence was illegally seized.

Mason: thanks for posting Himan's notes from the day of
the AG's declaration of innocence.

I have read his notes about that day a number of times over the past few years.

Can you imagine if anyone else had done that to a cop?

She blows about 5 hours of his day, making him track her down,
not showing up when she says she's going to meet him somewhere,
hanging up the phone on him twice!!!

If it was anyone else, the cop would have gone ballistic!

And remember this: Himan testified under oath at Nifong's Bar Trial
that during the questioning of Mangum by the SPs, that he had come to
the conclusion that it had all been a lie, that Mangum had lied to him about the gang-rape!

So, she did all of this to Himan on the day of the AG's declaration of innocence,
when, by his own admission, he had previously concluded that she had lied
to him about the gang-rape ...

and, still, he treats her with kids' gloves.

Of course, we know full well that Himan knew it was all a lie from the very beginning
but still ...
