1. I was just taking a snack break outside. Of the three Superior Court rooms on thus floor, two are locked. half a minute ago via TweetDeck
2. I saw McCullough through the door a second ago, so he's just about ready. 1 minute ago via TweetDeck
3. There's another jury question. We're awaiting Judge Jones and prosecutor McCullough; I saw the latter outside the courtroom a minute ago.

Mike, we know a lot about Crystal and yes our frustration runs high seeing her contemptuous behavior justified at every turn. However, there are untold numbers all over the state and in this country who are bilking the system the same way she is. I can pick up the newspaper or listen talk radio and there is a litany of charges against people like her who continue to run the streets without so much as a smack on the wrist. Our judicial system in this country has failed to make these criminals respect the law and our government has made them feel entitled so long as they can poor mouth about how whitey has it so much better than they do. Frankly, I am fed up with the government race baiters like Holder, Obama, and members of congress who have zero backbone or as to the first two suspects, actually hate this country.

Specifically, there's a door in the corner of the courtroom through which a TV camera can film without being seen by the jurors.

Didn't Milliken used to report for the NandO? I'm thinking he was in one of the layoffs.

I'm just lazy, I guess. When the bankruptcy court was on the first floor of my building, I could just go downstairs and snicker at "Oops, I lied on my declaration forms" Mike. But with my compromised immune system failing as it is, I just don't have the energy to control what I say anymore. . . so I have to watch "pure and chaste from a far. . ."

Milliken's bio from twitter: "Bio Staff reporter, The Herald-Sun, Durham, N.C. I currently cover Durham County K-12 education."

What part of this is K-12 education?

The jury must be talking to the General Assembly about changing the statutes or they are too ignorant to come to a decision. This just can't be that difficult.

The jury says it is split on malicious intent regarding first-degree arson charge. They're leaving now while Jones, lawyers talk.

Probably a couple of holdouts in the jury. I saw that happen in the trial I covered. It took the rest of them a while to get her convinced.

I'm firmly convinced that trials are won and lost in jury selection.
