I would guess they are waiting to notify relatives before making any public announcements. Since neither Stevens nor his office has called by now to report he wasn't on the plane, one has to assume the worst. |

I think, given that nothing has come from Steven's family to the contrary that they have probably suffered a tragedy. One has to only hope that if lives were lost that it was swift. RIP |

It was reported in some alaska news reports that they believe there ware some survivors and they are being taken care of by some local good samaritans until help can arrive. There also maybe some dead. |
