It is getting out of hand. The ramifications will be immense if they do this. The law of unintended consequence will be disastrous, but one doesn't expect Marxists to have any understanding of finance. |

They could take the money and still vote the idiots out of office. After all, after the government forgives all that debt, they will need to get them out of office so they cant do anymore harm, like raise taxes. It would be a citizens duty to take the money and run. |

http://hotair.com/archives/2010/08/05/doj-redirecting-damage-awards-to-favored-groups/ DoJ redirecting damage awards to favored groups? Share 21 POSTED AT 10:55 AM ON AUGUST 5, 2010 BY ED MORRISSEY PRINTER-FRIENDLY Remember when asking for the resignations of political appointees equated to somehow-intolerable “politicization” at the Department of Justice? Those days seem quaint and courtly compared to the successor DoJ in the Obama administration. Byron York reports that Justice has begun redirecting jury and court awards to “qualified organizations” that weren’t party to the claims at all — but may have ties to the administration: snip http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/Justice-Department-steers-money-to-favored-groups-1007439-99979014.html Justice Department steers money to favored groups By: Byron York Chief Political Correspondent August 5, 2010 The Justice Department has found a new way to pursue civil rights lawsuits, using the powers of the Civil Rights Division not just to win compensation for victims of alleged discrimination but also to direct large sums of money to activist groups that are not discrimination victims and not connected to a particular suit snip Edited by chatham, Aug 5 2010, 10:41 AM.

I have to admit that I am not certain HOW this could happen without approval by Congress, or what previous approval would allow it. The authority for the Treasury Department "pledging unlimited help" to Fannie & Freddie and how the "Home Affordable Refinance Program" is a means to give away billions and billions ONLY to those who were idiots when the got in over their heads is beyond my understanding - other than knowing I'll have to pay for some of it somehow in the future. |

. How many talking heads and programs are just ignoring what Obama is doing? It took two years for O'Reilly to use the Redistribution - and now I'm calling for some of the other Media to state the obvious - and inform the average person. We are STILL pouring Billions into Fannie and Freddie. . |
