Nine People Murdered over a Noose in a Bathroom

Yet another metanarrative. My guess is that when the story is fully investigated that the following will be discovered:
1. there was no noose in the bathroom
2. that any epithets found written in the bathroom concerned all races (that is assuming that there were any which probably is more likely a scenario)
3. the shooter had money issues
4. the shooter had mental health issues
5. the shooter had a criminal past
6. his victims were randomly chosen

What is criminal here is that the real victims are suggestively tarred as racsists and that the shooter is portrayed as a victim.

This is problematic for the far left. They have now pitted the race baiters against the unions. This should be interesting as the facts unfold.

Don't blame the gunmen in this one.
They need a law named after Omar:

Workplace Bullying: An angry Omar Thornton lashed out against his employer
August 3, 9:20 PM NY Public Policy by Edward Nelson

[snip....]

In fact, Mr. Thornton would have had an alternative option to exhaust his grievances and the nine individuals who needlessly lost their lives would be here today if the State of Connecticut had enacted an Anti-bullying law.

[snip....]

Unfortunately, today’s on-the-job shooting sheds light on one of the many dangers that workplace bullying can cause and how it could potentially affect innocent employees. David A. Paterson, Governor of New York, should sign the Anti-bullying in the workplace bill into law immediately to stop what seems to be a growing trend of violence emanating from the workplace.

[snip....]

Unlike Governor Rell, Governor Paterson has a bi-partisan Anti-bullying bill on this desk. The New York State Senate and Assembly has done their part.

[snip....]

Why did they do this? Since there are no laws prohibiting workplace bullying and no internal audits of control to assure that employees are being treated fairly in the workplace. As a result, superiors with authority are not impugned for their abusive behavior. We need something in place to hold our superiors accountable for their abuse.

Ahh... errrrrr... ummmmm

Shouldn't the anti-murder laws, I'm assuming are already on the books in CT have stopped the killings long before the anti-bullying, not yet passed laws would have been necessary?

Just asking?

The freakin guy was caught on video stealing beer. He was freakin called in on that. He knew he was going to get fired or at the least reprimanded, so he carried a gun with him to the meeting. There never was a freakin racist involvement with this case. The freakin Union said there was never a racist component. No one at work is saying there was a racist component. This is just his family's way of shifting responsibility for the murders onto other people and the white racists. Thats what obama has done twice, so far, so why not follow the leader.

The MSM is a freakin mess.
How right you are. The claims of racism, seems to me like an after thought and an excuse to make Omar the victim. I have to assume there is no NAACP in CT, nor any lawyers and the union rep must have been away, so that's why no formal complaints. We also have to believe that if and when he told friends and family about the noose and racism, none of them had any clue about what authorities to go too.

This is so reminicent of the Duke LAX case, reporters buying into all the hearsay and ignoring the facts and trying to turn Omar and his family the victims of racism. Where is Crystal when you need her, she could have told Omar who to complain too.

Not a word of condolence from Thorton's family to Families of the eight slaughtered victims. They remind me of Amy Bishops's rotten Mom

I smell the Truth in Chatham's post.

Cks also hit on another thing - this case seems to have the hallmarks of the hoax noose (it was supposedly a stickman scribbled on a bathroom wall).

You would think someone - anyone - in the media would pick up on the fact that it's hard to tell your Mother you are losing your job for stealing.

The family were allowed to take over the story by the MSM. Think Durham when the media had no interest in talking to anyone who didn't buy into the pap foaming from the mouth of the Mangum talking heads.

Has any of the news media talked to the real victims of this shooting, I think not? Typical of the MSM, the killer is the victim and the real victims are racist and deserved what they got.

The "Soft-Spoken" and "laid-back," "non-violent" victim looks to have had about 3 guns.

2 on him and more in his car.

Whatever the reason may have been for him to kill himself and others, I fear it may have included our society convincing him he was a victim.
