. I can only imagine the Polls were not good for the Dems when they Polled focus groups on a campaign by the Republicans that would highlight Nancy Pelosi's failure to Drain the Swamp. Especially since Harry Reid is already in trouble. I think the WH put out the call to make this "announcement." Obama: Time for Rangel to end career "with dignity" President Barack Obama has kept mum on the fate of Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) for days -- but he tells CBS News that it's time for the embattled 80-year-old former Ways and Means Chairman to end his career "with dignity." "I think Charlie Rangel served a very long time and served-- his constituents very well. But these-- allegations are very troubling," Obama told Harry Smith in an interview to be aired on the "Early Show." and first broadcast on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. "And he'll-- he's somebody who's at the end of his career. Eighty years old. I'm sure that-- what he wants is to be able to-- end his career with dignity. And my hope is that-- it happens. That's just some of Zer0's disdain for the elderly, imo. Also reflected in his health care ambitions. |

Could Obama be behind the scenes asking Rangel to take one for the party? I think Obama is in damage control mode - Obama's handling of the oil spill, the firing of Sherrod before her video went viral, and now Rangel. They have their propaganda machines out saying that the Democrats are closing the gap, but I think they are running scared. |

I can only hope Maxine Waters takes one for the party. |

Maxine chooses trial rather than accept ethics charges. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/111973-reports-waters-chooses-trial-rather-than-accept-ethics-charges Why are they doing this so close to the elections? Are they worried that if the Democrats lose the House that things would be ugly for them after Jan 2011? |

Bingo! We have a winner! They are caught between their supreme arrogance and the reality if the Dems lose the House the gig is up! The next question is where can we find a Speaker of the House who will be honest, ethical, and has integrity? Not to be dramatic but the future of our country is at stake. |

Why not fight it? Waters has to be thinking to herself if the ethics committee doesn't want to punish Rangel, so she will probably get a pass too. Also Rangel and Waters knows there is no way in hell a republican will beat them in their district. You also have to realize the media isn't going to give these scandals much play like they did the Marc Foley and Duke Cunningham stories. The culture of corruption is only something to attack republicans with. |

LTC, that's next on the Obama agenda, "death with dignity", for the elderly or those severly handicapped, through "cost benefit analysis". Remember this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-dQfb8WQvo |

Obviously the Democrat Party did not get the message since it is having a birthday bash (raise money for his legal bills?????) for old Charlie. Meanwhile, the Democrat cesspool only has widened since Maxine is now firmly entrenched (surprise! surprise!) as well. I want to hear Nancy "Clean the swamp" Pelosi explain this one. By the way, just a side note which I am sure tha Black Causcus will pick up on, why is it only Black Democrats who populate the swamp? |

. Juan Williams on FOX today: "Charlie Rangel is such a wonderful man." I wonder what Ted Stevens is thinking. He was the symbol for corruption and dirty, underhanded politics the Press told us - in fact, he was prosecuted. Does anyone think Obama's Justice Department will even look at Rangel? His crimes are ignored - same with Maxine Waters. Why do some Senators getting criminally charged? Just like the Duke case - the Department of Justice is more political than GreenPeace. . |

If you talk to people that lived in the neighborhood with John Gotti, they would say he was a wonderful guy too, he protected the neighborhood from local criminals and thugs, they wouldn't dare come into the Gotti neighborhood and commit crimes. |
