. Serious journalists, journalists working for major media outlets anyway, were on the NBC and ABC Sunday shows and they were asking the Tea Party (and the Republicans) to pledge that no future cuts in spending would adversely effect minorities. And Jesse Jackson went out and said it's time for the official adoption (by the Congress and President, I presume) of the Black National Anthem. They really don't see anything wrong with this? . . I think they are openly saying - if the Policies aren't redistributive - they are racist. Look how much race stuff was put in the financial services bill for God's sakes. I think they want to do that to every single piece of legislation. . |

The Left also believes that the tea party is racist because they support States' Rights! They always bring up Jim Crow. I must have been absent the day we studied this in history because I had never heard of Jim Crow until I joined LS. I hate to admit my ignorance but I have to believe there are a lot more out there like me who have to google up Jim Crow. Jim Crow has nothing to do with the tea party! Here's the clip from CNN: "The reason Dr. King marched on the federal government was to stop states' rights.....because of Jim Crow laws....." http://noisyroom.net/blog/2010/07/25/cnn-tea-party-ideology-is-racist-states-rights-is-racist/ |

LS we are already seeing the Bakainization of the United States, with amnesty cities popping up all over the country. Seems to me that progressives want this, listen to their words. |

It is becoming clearer by the day that Obama's power is waning. The Dems are seeing the likelihood their Majority rule being limited in November. Will Obama pull the ultimate trump card? According to eight Republican senators, the Obama Administration is now contemplating the possibility of unilaterally granting an amnesty to illegal aliens by executive action. How would the administration pull this off? Apparently by granting "parole" to millions of illegal aliens, en masse. The problem with this scheme is that federal law doesn't allow it. The avenue of granting an illegal alien parole-and lawful presence in the United States-was created by Congress to be used on a case-by-case basis. If, for "urgent humanitarian reasons" or "significant public benefits," a particular alien needed to be allowed to remain in the United States, then the executive branch has the authority grant that alien parole. The meaning of the law has been clear for decades. But now Obama is considering changing it to give himself unprecedented power to grant amnesty to millions with the wave of his hand. Never mind that the granting of a mass amnesty is plainly a legislative action-altering the legal rights of millions-and the Constitution reserves such legislative powers to Congress. http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=37913 It seems illogical he would do it as it would set off a real constitutional crisis, but I fear we are seeing the signs of desperation on the left. As of now the signs are the Dems are going to lose big in November and with it goes the dreams of two generations of Liberals. I expect some wild days ahead BTW this amnesty rumour has been spreading for a while and BOR even reported it last month Edited by Baldo, Jul 27 2010, 03:41 PM.

. I don't think it's an Amnesty rumor, I think it's one of their alternate plans. The legality of it won't even be consideration by this WH though, he is a leader that believes he has moral authority to change the country virtually any way he sees fit. |
