I pasted an extremely short rebuttal with some generally under utilized facts over at Reharmonize.His reply speaks for itself.Like the original 88ers he never retracts just does another softshoe act and moves by.The fact that this whole thing is a hoax fromthe word go doesn't bother him at all.:

And so far as the alleged racial exchange is concerned,the statements later given to the police still refer to Kim as the Spanish dancer. Kim simply(surprise!) lied when she called up the police complaining about being the victim of a race crime.
More to the point,according to the final(so far) statement of Brian Taylor Kim spent most of half an hour on the phone with Crystal shortly before Brian and Crystal arrived at the party.Most of half an hour’s strategical conversation between the women followed by an under four minute “dance” before they terminated,all of ,eight hundred dollars richer than before they came in. Plus whatever Crystal stole from David Evans(and others)on the way out. Three habitual (but far from accomplished) criminals descended on some extremely naive greenhorns and ended up unleashing a rather larger international storm than Hurricane Katrina.

Bill has given us the whole problem. It is not the truth but the Will to admit it's the truth that matters. And the curse of the Duke hoax was that Brodhead, the NC NAACP, Nancy Grace, the New York Times, etc. did NOT possess then and do NOT possess now the Will to admit this. And, as Perkinson has just proven, neither does he.

This lack of Will is the same thing that scared me in the OJ murder trial, in the Duke hoax, and that scares me now as Barack ("Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn about 'God DAMN America') Obama wins the Democratic nomination is this terrifying Will of so many to NOT admit the truth. Facts make no difference, common sense, honesty, etc. Only ideology. Ideologically blinded people admit only to is that which justifies their blindness. Pile the mountains of evidence up to the heights of the Himalayas - it makes no difference. The ideologically blinded will merely walk past it, tapping their white canes and see nothing.

Bill nailed it. It is not the truth, but the WILL to admit the truth which matters. If that Will turns its back on the truth and goosesteps off in the opposite direction, we can not make them see they're wrong, we can only see to defending ourselves against that wrong. And to warning the world, as Bill has just done, to that wrong. Warning that that Will is powerful - and, if we do nothing, say nothing, it will triumph.

(But, of course, Leni Riefenstahl's film could tell you that.)


I so agree with you Carolyn. Watch what happens with this election, as a poster on another thread said, if you object to anything about Obama, you are labeled as a "racist."

I would be willing to bet that Obama will pick another "Bill" for his VP- Richardson. The idea that he represents the Latino/Hispanic community is VERY spurious. The product of Eastern boarding schools and the Clinton administration, he had to get a Spanish tutor before he ran for governor of NM. However, given the Obama campaign's purported electoral college strategy- forget Ohio and Florida, concentrate on New Mexico, Colorado, Georgia, Virginia and North Carolina- it's obvious that the Obama campaign has made this election about race loyalty. They'll promote Richardson as a man to fix the energy crisis since he was Secretary of Energy- however, I'd like a look at his record as Clinton's appointee. Also, it rubs the Clintons' noses in it.

This is just a LOVELY election season! (I need the sarcasm smiley too!)
