. Vick reportedly hosting July 4th “All White Party” 7/4/2010 6:18:29 PM Robert Littal of Blacksportsonline.com reports Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is hosting an "All White" party on Sunday, July 4 in Washington D.C. Littal says if Michael Vick is truly hosting this July 4th party at The Park and Fourteenth in DC and I don’t know if he is or isn’t, he has to be the biggest idiot on the planet. Very similar to his birthday party where the shooting took place, all you have to do is email to get on the RSVP list. It is also being promoted on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace via ClubZone.com. In essence it is open to the public if you want to slam some cake or fireworks in Vick’s face. http://www.theredzone.org/BlogDescription/tabid/61/EntryId/7974/Vick-reportedly-hosting-July-4th--All-White-Party-/Default.aspx You have to wear all white to an All-White Party. If the story was true, I'm sure his lawyers squashed it quick. . Edited by Mason, Jul 4 2010, 07:50 PM.

Tony Dungy: 'The only thing Michael Vick is guilty of is using bad judgment' Dungy is the Sidney Harr of the Vick scandal. Haven't we heard that Nifong just used poor judgment. |

The Michael Vicks, Ben Rothliesbergers, Chris Henrys, Cedric Bensons, etc. of this world (and the list is not restricted to football by any stretch) are (and were) examples of what happens when athletes with talent are, from an early age, given a pass for bad behavior by parents, coaches, teachers, the legal authorities, etc. bcause they are considered special by dint of their talent. Though not all athletes are stunted in their emotional development, the sad truth is that a great many are. Thus, the necessity for people like Tony Dungy to serve as mentors for men old enough to know better. Unfortunately, Dungy, in his role of mentor is doing Michael Vick no favors since it would seem, from the latest Vick event, that excusing his behavior seems to be the extent of Dungy's efforts. |

http://www.wralsportsfan.com/nfl/story/7920631/ Prosecutor: Vick in confrontation before shooting Updated at 9:44 a.m. VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The city's lead prosecutor said Wednesday night that Michael Vick was involved in a confrontation before a shooting following his birthday bash. Commonwealth's Attorney Harvey L. Bryant told The Associated Press Wednesday night in a telephone interview that Vick was not involved in the shooting and that he left the nightclub "in the 3 to 5 minute range" before it occurred. Bryant would not go into detail about the confrontation, but said there was no evidence the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was involved in "anything that would amount to aggressive or assaultive conduct." "He's an athlete and an entertainer, but he's also a human being, and things that would tick you and I off would tick him off," Bryant said. "But he extricated himself from those things and left with the help and encouragement of some of his friends and supporters." Police have said Vick was not the shooter. Bryant said the investigation also shows that Vick "was not aware of whether or not anyone was going to be shot, was threatened to be shot or anything to do with any of that business." Neither Vick's attorney, Larry Woodward, or his agent, Joel Segal, returned phone messages Wednesday night. Bryant, who has declined to press charges at this time against anyone in the shooting, said the victim and witnesses have not cooperated. He would not confirm a police statement made Tuesday that they know who the shooter is, but did say that the case remains open. Snip.... |

. The Authorities are simply giving Vick a pass because of his race - and the fact he's popular. What are the chances? Vick had a confrontation with the guy that he's not allowed to associate with - and minutes later - from the direction of Vick's entourage, the dude has a bullet in him. Vick's associates say everyone knows who did the shooting, but no one (including Vick) is talking. It's a good gig if you can get it. One could easily take out all their enemies this way - and the Government doesn't even enforce parole violations? . |

Director of Vick youth football camp upset about Vick's non-appearance George Henry of the Associated Press gives Michael Vick a pass for failing to attend his own celebrity golf tournament in Georgia this weekend and also missing a party in Florida for which he was paid an advance appearance fee of $5000. After all, Vick's probation officer has barred him from traveling outside the state of Pennyslvania. Vick's failure to keep his promise to attend a youth football camp in Raleigh, North Carolina is another matter entirely. "They called early, like 2 o'clock in the morning, telling us he's not coming," said Cornelius Corprew, director of Camp Elite Sports' two-day football camp. "And then we couldn't speak to him. It was through one of his associates. We're not crazy. No state agency is communicating at 2 o'clock in the morning that he's not allowed to come. I think that was a selfish act." Corprew said he was told as late as Satursay by Vick's representatives that he would be attending the camp. He said Vick was paid a $2,000 deposit of a $4,000 fee. He said the camp was built around Vick's appearance, and that campers paid $175 each and were promised packages that included photos and autographs. I'm upset because our camp is built on integrity and character and that's what we teach to our kids," Corprew said. Corprew said Vick missed an opportunity. "You talk about second chances," he said. "You're given a great second chance and this would've been the perfect place to show he appreciated being given a second chance." http://www.theredzone.org/BlogDescription/tabid/61/EntryId/8127/Director-of-Vick-youth-football-camp-upset-about-Vick-s-non-appearance/Default.aspx . |

. Well, well - as I thought, Dungy rushed in to proclaim Vick a good man - and Goodell has announced no discipline for Michael Vick - in fact, the fault seems to be the club (paying him Millions on top of Millions) not providing enough support to poor Mike. You see the double standard - they have to provide assistance, tutoring, mentoring, and constant support to some 30 year old Millionaires - and others are held responsible for their actions. No discipline for Eagles QB Michael Vick NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell informed Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick that he will not be punished as a result of an incident at a Virginia Beach, Va., nightclub, the league announced in a statement Tuesday. Goodell spoke with Vick on Tuesday while visiting the Eagles during a training-camp tour. According to the league's statement, Goodell also talked with Vick, mentor Tony Dungy and Eagles coach Andy Reid several weeks ago, and all agreed to "additional support measures" for the quarterback, who must meet higher personal-conduct standards. http://www.theredzone.org/BlogDescription/tabid/61/EntryId/8866/No-additional-discipline-for-Eagles-QB-Michael-Vick/Default.aspx Edited by Mason, Aug 3 2010, 06:47 PM.
