They must have got my letter!

The Catholic Church is taking action against the Fake Pfleger!

Cardinal "George Temporarily Removes Pfleger From St. Sabina"

CHICAGO (CBS) ― CBS 2 News has learned that Francis Cardinal George is temporarily removing Father Michael Pfleger from his position as pastor of St. Sabina Roman Catholic Church on Chicago's South Side.

CBS 2 Chief Correspondent Jay Levine reports the move comes after several days of deliberation and consultation by the Cardinal, who first learned about Pfleger's racially charged comments about senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton from the pulpit of Trinity Unity Church of Christ last Thursday night.

The Cardinal immediately contacted Pfleger who agreed not to refer to the presidential candidates by name, but as CBS 2 reported at the time, there remained the possibility of some further disciplinary action against Pfleger.

The Cardinal reportedly spoke to Pfleger again Tuesday morning.

"I have asked Father Michael Pfleger, Pastor of St. Sabina's Parish, to step back from his obligations there," the Cardinal said in a statement released Tuesday afternoon, "and take leave for a couple of weeks from his pastoral duties, effective today."

The order requires Fr. Pflger to at least temporarily leave the rectory he's called home for the past 24 years. It's clear that Pfleger tried to fight the move.

"Fr. Pfleger does not believe this to be the right step at this time," the Cardinal's statement continued. "While respecting his disagreement, I have nevertheless asked him to use this opportunity to reflect on his recent statements and actions in the light of the Church's regulations for all Catholic priests."

Those regulations ban the preaching of partisan politics.

The Cardinal also reached out to parishioners.

"I hope also that the life of St. Sabina's parish may continue in uninterrupted fashion. I ask the members...to cooperate with [Father William Vanecko, who will temporarily replace Pfleger] and to keep him and Fr. Pfleger in their prayers. They are in mine," the Cardinal's statement said.

Tuesday evening outside St. Sabina, parishioners were already handing out leaflets, calling an emergency meeting to make a powerful statement in support of their longtime priest.

"I do not agree at all with the decision the Archdiocese has made," said St. Sabina parishioner Denise Nicholes.

"He's committed his life, he's committed his ministry to this place. Even if he's at St. Sabina or not, the Auburn-Gresham area is part of his life and will be until he dies. And to have that type of commitment from a pastor and from a man like that, it will be a great loss," said St. Sabina parishioner Karon Nash. "We won't stand for it."

On May 25, Pfleger was a guest preacher at the Trinity United Church of Christ, of which Sen. Obama was a member for two decades. In his sermon, he mocked Clinton and the emotion she showed before the New Hampshire primary.

"I really don't believe it was put on. I always thought she felt 'This is mine. I'm Bill's wife. I'm white. And this is mine. I just got to get up and step into the plate,'" he said. "And then out of nowhere came, 'Hey, I'm Barack Obama.' And she said, 'Oh damn, where did you come from? I'm white. I'm entitled. There's a black man stealing my show.'"

Pfleger then pretended to cry in a dramatization that included a handkerchief.

"She wasn't the only one crying. There was a whole lot of white people crying," he said.

On Sunday, speaking to his own congregation for the first time since the sermon at Trinity, Pfleger apologized for those comments.

"I apologize for anyone who was offended and thought it to be mockery. that was neither my intent nor was it my heart," Pfleger said Sunday in his first sermon at his home church of St. Sabina since the controversial remarks at Trinity United Church of Christ.

Previously, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the former longtime pastor at Trinity, drew fire for controversial remarks which infuriated Obama. The controversy with Pfleger was the last straw for Obama, who severed all ties with Trinity, where he had been a member for more than 20 years.

This past Sunday, Pfleger told St. Sabina's congregation that he's received more than 3,000 threatening e-mails – some calling for his death. The messages caused the church to beef up security for Sunday's services.

Pfleger has been pastor of the predominantly African-American St. Sabina parish, at 1210 W. 78th St., since 1981. He has gained notoriety for his political activism on behalf of gun control, racial and social equality, and intervention against youth violence.

This article is kind to the Fake Pfleger - he has trumpeted Louis Farrakhan and denounced whites for the color of their skin. He routinely calls America - a Rapist, and he repeatedly states that America is the largest Sin against God!

Send him to some other land - and let him convince those people how Evil America is.

This guy is the worst kind of monger.

The Cardinal in Chicago is Cardinal George. I have seen Video of Pfleger making veiled references to George and his hate comes through big time.

I think he's the kind of guy that would love to claim to be a martyr.

It's about time. I can't believe that the move is "temporary." It will be intersting to see if he is actually returned to the parish.

This is so WRONG...he is not committed to one place (or shouldn't be)...he's committed to Christ, and the Catholic Church as a whole. They won't stand for it? Priests move all the time. This is not *his* ministry...our church got a new priest several years ago. There were many who were very sad when the change was made, but this happens all the time. I know it's difficult too for the priests (our priest was sad to go, but understood that he was needed elsewhere)...they are only human. But Pfleger has been flouting the rules for far too long...

Maybe he should convert to a religion that will allow him to really have *his* own church. I just heard an interview today with Dwayne Wade. He bought his mother a church! I believe he said it was a Baptist church. Maybe the so-called Father Pfleger can convince someone to buy him a church. He can make up his own rules, and do whatever he likes. But he should not be a Catholic priest. The Church needs to rein in these renegades!

Yes Emmy. I wonder if it's money keeping him from starting his own church.

The guy doesn't believe in the Catholic teachings - they love his hate-speech there in that part of Chicago, so why doesn't he just open up his own non-catholic church. Not only does he have obvious problems, but he lies. His initial reaction when asked to account for his actions, he said that he didn't know the church service was being broadcast over the internet. However, the tapes shows that references to it being broadcast live were mentioned several times before Pfleger spoke - including once, when a speaker said, do you hear that - Youtube?

There has been special exemptions made just for Pfleger in the past and his last appointment was supposed to be - - Indefinitely when Nuns and Priests get moved around in regular intervals and have no say whatsoever.

His threats of violence and "snuffing someone out," also seem to be odds with the bible and the priesthood, to put it mildly.

In one service he accused White people of trying to take down Medgar Evers, Malcom X, Louis Farrakhan, MLK, and Rev. Wright.

Malcom X was murdered by the black panthers and Farrakhan has admitted his part in the killing of Malcom X.

One former parishioner said that Pfleger doesn't believe that he is white himself.

Watch this Video!

Be careful who you lynch!

Wright and others have made it clear Romans mean white People and Jesus is black.

Rev. Wright compared to Jesus by the new minister of Trinity!

In watching these videos on youtube, Lynching and Rape is laced throughout the sermons without fail.

Tony, it was not until the Duke Hoax that I had any idea how much racial hatred there is in the black community. Previously, I had no idea that the likes of "Reverends" Wright, Barber, Moss, and "Father" Pflegler were preaching genocide and hate. Sharpton seems positively mild by comparison.

It's odd how the Hoax started me paying attention to what has been afoot over many decades.

You said it, Emmy. Perhaps the problem is that he HAS been there so long. He should have been moved long ago. When the parish "won't stand for" their priest moving to another parish, they run the risk of worshipping the wrong person - the priest, rather than God.

TexMom, I cant believe that you are that Naive. I had a black friend that I used to hang out with in a bar, he was a computer programer. The bartender was great and that is probably what attracted us to that establishment. I met him there on day to exchange some software and the female bartender was gone and was told she moved to another bar. I, told my friend, let's go there, it was only the next town away. He said to me "In case you haven't noticed, I'm black". I told him I did notice that, then he told me you can't go to that community if you are black. I reflected a bit and realized he was telling the truth. This is America and it is happening. All of are major cities are broken down by race and ethnisity, example Philadelphia has a China Town, great chinese food, but all the other races live in different part of the city. Haven't you ever visited Dallas or Houston? I was in ElPaso, TX, went to a McDonalds and most if not all the employees couldn't speak English, but Spanish. I just don't think that Barack Obama can solve this, he is in a church that reverses the problem. I have vivid memories of this racism on both sides. I remember a fried of mine trying to buy a 6 pack of beer in a black community, he was told he would not be served, this has always been a two way street, Obama cannot fix that, only the American people can.

Absolutely, Soobs...those parishoners now worship the man above all else. Great point.

Tony..."One former parishioner said that Pfleger doesn't believe that he is white himself."

That's just pathetic if it's true, Tony. But he sounded like a self-hating white guy to me (and a crazy person, too).

Perhaps I am naive, Leo. I am from Houston. Perhaps, my experiences are different from yours. I still contend that Obama has set race relations back decades and he has shown the dark underbelly of the victim culture of the liberal left.

Tony, Pfleger himself makes a comment about his comments being televised. He says something about the feed or something going haywire as he's leaving the pulpit. Watch it again. I'll have to go take a look at it because I can't quite remember his exact words but Pfleger is saying something about not wanting to get the church in trouble again and cracks a joke about the feed or something going haywire following his comments.

Not that it's any kind of excuse for what he said. Can you imagine a priest making comments like that if the races were reversed? And would "I didn't realize I had a live mic" be any excuse? Not a chance.

I mentioned this before.

He refers to the stream. Trinity streams sermons over the internet. Just sign up. I haven't. (I assume it still does this.)

Yes.

Some would argue he knew what he was saying was wrong by a willingness to say it because it was not broadcast, as he claimed he believed, and a level of deceit.

This guy is dangerous. Some people really like what he's selling though.
