Don't hold your breath for MSM coverage of this hot potato. The PC forces will never permit it. Had it not been for the blogs--there would never have been any coverage of the ravings of the right Rev Wright!

Here's a Video as a reminder

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8M-kD0QdRJk

Congress has oversight. They are investigating stealing of football signals to baseball players using enhancers - now, we're told they may have hearings on a tell-all book.

Why don't they hold hearings to find out how 15 Million dollars was let out the barn door for a hate-filled political organization. Why not have hearings on pulling the tax-exempt status of the political arms posing as churches?

Why not discuss whether Treason charges would be appropriate to those that brought 15 Million dollars in US. Taxpayer funds to such an Anti-American organization?

So the question comes down to this?

Who was the State Senator in Trinity's District

Who was the US Senator in Trinity District?

Naw, he wouldn't have anything to do with getting grants

From Father Jonathan Morris:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,354491,00.html

"But we’re missing the point. The critical element of concern for many of us, whose “thoughts are usually not unlike Ms. Noonan’s”, is not Reverend Wright’s personality or love for the spotlight—it’s his theology of black liberation."

"Liberation theology finds its historical roots in a school of Latin American theological thought made famous in the 1960s and 1970s. In these turbulent years of dictators and militants, some Catholic priests and bishops, Protestant pastors, and laity sought to revolutionize the church’s understanding of its own salvific mission. Instead of giving priority to the spiritual redemption of the soul, they turned their sites almost exclusively to social justice. Their materialistic view of humanity blurred the vertical and horizontal dimensions of the church. They stopped looking up at the Prince of Peace. Their Jesus was now a warrior."

"Many liberation theologians in Latin America had good objectives. They were personal witnesses of the great disparity between the rich and the poor and refused to stand by with their arms folded. They saw how some indigenous peoples, blacks, mestizos, and the poor rural and urban masses were being manipulated and abused by the powerful. But their horizontal and materialistic vision of man led them to adopt elements of Marxist philosophy, including “class struggle” — the pitting of the poor against the rich. In this theological context, the victim status of the lower classes justifies in some cases the use of force to rectify social inequality."

"When you hear Rev. Jeremiah Wright talk about social and racial inequality in America, the influence of liberation theology is painfully evident. It is of a different stripe (not violent), but it is there. His unconditional support for Louis Farrakhan (Nation of Islam leader) and other militants, his crude language, the selective content of his preaching, and his conspiracy theories against the government, are divisive. And they are divisive in a similar way as followers of liberation theology in Latin America."

I have a friend who has become quite wealthy courtesy of her husband's jobs with major oil producers. She is a big Obama supporter and I have wondered if her husband is expecting a cabinet appointment if Obama becomes President. The husband also has "issues" about his family having been landed gentry in former generations, but the Civil War devastated the family fortunes and their plantations were forfeited. One day she started to lecture me about Obama and Black Liberation Theology, but I stopped her with a simple question when I asked her how her husband felt about paying reparations for previous generations of slave-holders and didn't she think that reparations should be assigned so that those whose families actually owned slaves were required to pay in larger proportions. She was p*ssed.

I wish I'd thought to ask her how Marxist philosophy fit into her four car, three house, multimillion dollar lifestyle. She doesn't believe in owning guns either- except when they're invited to a "shoot" in England or Canada. :elmer:

Texas Mom, your friend is a perfect example of the typical Obama supporter. Every sacrifice that Obama will call upon the American people to make, will be sacrifices that he will not make himself nor will he ask his friends at TC. He will turn the social fabric of this nation upside down and there are a lot of very well meaniong democrats who will help him do it.

I am stunned that the Catholic Church will not deal with this priest before he does anymore damage
to the faith. It seems they are so slow to act, it's almost as if you are witnessing a death wish being carried out in slow motion.

This church is old. Its leadership is stuck in the 17th, 18th century and not that I would ever want the Church to abandon its moral compass, but it needs to develop methods and practices which are more
up to date in dealing with embarrassing issues such as those that Fr. Pfleger brings to the table.

Your friend sounds like an absolute nut job. People should not own guns, how educated is this friend of your's? Apparently she has never heard of the US Constitution? I guess she feels all white people are racist, just like I believe that many that attend B. Huessin Obama's church are racist. Reparations are for people that are still alive today who were persecuted by the government. Kind of like the Japanese that were interned in WWII. Your friend is a racist.

Obama’s Ex-Church Has Won $15M in Federal Grant Money

They cleaned up at the state level two, I understand.

Did anyone notice that when referring to Rev. Wright and Fake Pfleger the media calls their statements - rhetoric?

Did they call David Duke's diatribes rhetoric? I can tell you they didn't.

Hatespeech - from a federally funded, tax exempt Church is what it is - but en-masse they taken to calling it "rhetoric". How convenient.

Pay no taxes and get free Government money, doesn't get any better than that.

This is the tax return for Trinity Church's Child Care Center -Tax year ending 6/30/2006

Posted Image

You do the math 65 pre-school kids - Grants and allocations 1,240,518

Is there any accountant on this board to read over this and give us a comment?

How many Church day care centers for 65 kids get $1,240,518 in grants per year. They received $4.8 million from 2001-2004?

SHRINE OF THE BLACK MADONNA :

http://www.shrinebookstore.com/founder.aspx

As a theologian, Rev. Cleage gained national and international prominence. In the early 1950s, he coined the phrase “Black theology,” making him the founder of a new field of religious studies. . .Subsequently, he wrote many essays and articles that appeared in a wide variety of publications, which stripped the mystical distortions of Christianity and made it relevant to the lives of black people.

(snip)

Jaramogi Abebe Agyeman suggested that Jesus’ mission was more complex than a journey to the cross in which his human sacrifice would allow people to experience a chimerical kingdom in after death, he explained that his life was a personal example which when emulated could lead people to the experience of God in their present reality. Jaramogi founded a Black Christian Nationalist Movement, which called for black churches to understand the truth of Jesus' teachings and their African heritage. The Pan African Orthodox Christian Church became answer to the question of how God works in the world, a community of faith where you can experience the blessings of Covenant faith with God and his people.

http://www.shrinebookstore.com/church.aspx

In the world we live in we can no longer afford to accept or be part of a Christianity that entertains and stimulates while leading us to escape the realities of suffering people. The science of KUA which our church has rediscovered, allows our members to transcend the boundaries of social deprivation and experience God in many cases for the first time.

GERMAN NATIONAL SOCIALIST CHRISTIANITY :

http://www.americanthinker.com/2007/11/the_nazis_and_christianity.html

"The Ethic of the German Religion condemns all belief in inherited sin, as well as the Jewish-Christian teaching of a fallen world. Such a teaching is not only non-Germanic and non-German, it is immoral and nonreligious. Whoever preaches this menaces the morality of the people." --Adolf Hitler

University Nazis in Keil wrote in 1935:

"We Germans are heathens and want no more Jewish religion in our Germany. We no longer believe in the Holy Ghost; we believe in the Holy Blood."

Erich Ludendorff, the earliest and most important political figure in Germany to support the Nazis, said:

"The Jews are not our enemies because of their race, but because one of their subtlest rabbis, that man called Saint Paul, distilled the poison of the Christ myth out of the life of the story of Jesus of Nazareth. The Jews are enemies of the Nordic race because they produced Christianity, which has been the poison that has destroyed the vitality of the Aryan people."

NATION OF ISLAM :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nation_of_Islam

"The Blackman is the original man. From him came all brown, yellow, red, and white people. By using a special method of birth control law, the Blackman was able to produce the white race. This method of birth control was developed by a Black scientist known as Yakub, who envisioned making and teaching a nation of people who would be diametrically opposed to the Original People. A Race of people who would one day rule the original people and the earth for a period of 6,000 years. Yakub promised his followers that he would graft a nation from his own people, and he would teach them how to rule his people, through a system of tricks and lies whereby they use deceit to divide and conquer, and break the unity of the darker people, put one brother against another, and then act as mediators and rule both sides."

ARYAN NATIONS :

http://www.adl.org/learn/ext_us/Aryan_Nations.asp?xpicked=3&item=11

The group states that God's creation of Adam marked "the placing of the White Race upon this earth. Not all races descend from Adam. Adam is the father of the White Race only....We believe that the true, literal children of the Bible are the twelve tribes of Israel, now scattered throughout the world and now known as the Anglo-Saxon, Germanic, Teutonic, Scandinavian, Celtic peoples." Folding in anti-Semitism, the group goes on to explain that non-Aryans are not merely inferior but must be destroyed:

We believe that there are literal children of Satan in the world today. These children are the descendants of Cain, who was a result of Eve's original sin, her physical seduction by Satan. We know that because of this sin there is a battle and a natural enmity between the children of Satan and the children of The Most High God. We believe that the Cananite Jew is the natural enemy of our Aryan (White) Race. This is attested by Scripture and all secular history.

_________

It's no surprise that racists come in all stripes and colors. For them, Christianity is a distortion which blinds people to the 'truth' of racial supremacy.

What is a surprise is why someone like Rev. Wright would agree to appear on the same platform with them.

Would a pastor agree to share a podium with members of the KKK or the Aryan nations? (And thereby give legitimacy to their 'diversity' of views?)
