What a game! Jeez, nothing like sweating it out until the last .2 seconds! It's always better when we win at home, though.

Congrats, OL. It's a great feeling when your team wins the big one (still basking over the G Men!)...Posted Image

Plus it was my birthday, which increased the suckage.

Congrats to the Wings, who showed they were the better team. The Pens will be back, I think (like the Celtics/Pistons and the Pistons/Bulls series of the 80s and early 90s, sometimes you have to lose to learn how to win), but you always hate to lose the last one. I'd would have preferred that the Red Wings winning goal wasn't pushed in by our goalie's ass.

It seems only fair that Fleury's ass pushed the goal in ... the night before the Red Wings scored on their own goalie. Karma gets you every time.

Great job guys all around. My baby Penguins will be back next year and we'll try again.

Geez Duke84, one little riot 24 years ago doesn't mean the Detroit is going to burn when the Red Wings win (maybe Warren). But in the unlikely event the Lions win a Superbowl all bets are off......

So, will the city of Detroit be giving Fleury his own ticker-tape parade? That was some butt-shot!

Parade guide: Should be a hot time downtown for Wings fans

BY BEN SCHMITT • FREE PRESS STAFF WRITER • June 6, 2008
The Red Wings want to party with you today in downtown Detroit, but you may want to leave your long-sleeve Wings sweaters at home: This will be no climate for Penguins.

When the Stanley Cup championship parade begins at 11 a.m. at the Hockeytown Café on Woodward, the temperature is expected to be 85 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in White Lake Township.

Throw in some humidity and it'll feel like 90 degrees when the Wings players start rolling south down Woodward toward Hart Plaza.

And it will be 90 by the time the rally begins in Hart Plaza sometime between 1:30 and 2 p.m. Fortunately, thunderstorms are expected to hold off until the evening.
