For those of you wanting to help get the word out (there are now FOUR Duke classes for whom this will be NEW--no one now remains on campus who was there during 2006) you can consider getting copies of books about the case and letting them find their way into dorms (they will be shared!) AMAZON PRICES : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1416551468/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller= It's Not About the Truth (Pressler) HARDCOVER used copies as low as $.08 (that's EIGHT CENTS!) a copy! A Rush to Injustice http://www.amazon.com/Rush-Injustice-Prejudice-Correctness-Overshadowed/dp/1595551182/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1267797000&sr=1-1 used copies as low as $.56 a copy Until Proven Innocent http://www.amazon.com/Until-Proven-Innocent-Correctness-Injustices/dp/0312369123/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1267797137&sr=1-2 used copies as low as $1.15 a copy (does not include shipping) But worth it nonetheless. With s/h, for $5.00 to $10.00 you can place a copy of one of these books in a Duke dorm. It will sit there all year and have coke spilled on it and pizza smeared on the pages and get the covers bent; but it will be read. And do a more thorough job than we can do here. Think about it. Donate one copy. One dorm. Edited by Quasimodo, Mar 5 2010, 08:57 AM.

At these prices you can also think about donating some copies to student groups, new faculty, journalists, pastors, civil rights groups, talk show hosts, etc. (and you need not be limited to these groups). *(dare I suggest the Chronicle staff? The staff of the Campus Echo at NCCU? None of these people were on campus during the case.) This case will be in the news again. And WE are going to have to educate the public (because we cannot rely on the MSM to do it); and make sure that a ready source of FACTS about the case is at hand. Don't be so modest, Quas. There is this gem, too. http://www.amazon.com/Duke-Lacrosse-Case-Documentary-Scottsboro/dp/1439235902 The Duke Lacrosse Case: A Documentary History and Analysis of the Modern Scottsboro (Paperback) ~ R.B. Parrish (Author) |

My daughter is doing a presentation on the Duke case for one of her law school classes this semester. They (she and a partner) were to chose a case (the class assignment) that has continuing significance. SO, there will be at least 100+ students who will be informed. |

My research skills - limited though they may be - are at her disposal. Please advise her of that. abb |
