What's there not to love about Girl Scout Cookies? I am a sucker for those little girls outside of the grocery store asking me to buy thin mints, peanut butter cookies, and shortbread. Here's to those parents who are raising a future generation of women. Girl Scout Mission Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. http://www.girlscouts.org/who_we_are/facts/ Cookie site http://www.girlscoutcookies.org/ |

Yes, there was something is the oil that was used in the cream that was causing the filling to ooze. It also gave off a funny odor....supposedly the bakery in Indiana is the culpret. GSA cookies are baked by a series of bakeries throughout the US. I can't speak about the organization now but in years past it was the making of many young girls into competent, efficient, poised, leaders. I know that the organization did much for me as I worked my way from Brownies to Senior Scout. |

The lemon creams are my favorite. I have 4 boxes here. I'm going to have to try each and everyone to see if there's something wrong with them. So far, so good.

Ah, man - the mints! You put them in the freezer until they're icy cold, than take them out and crunch them between the teeth with a pot of hot tea nearby. I swear - they disappear. I know I didn't eat all of them but they disappear nonetheless. The whole box. Interesting. Someone eats them and then I have to go out and buy another box. |

I've never tried the lemon but I'm crazy about the thin mints, too! I guess I'm going to have to go to the GS site and order because I have not seen anyone selling them. Carolyn, you are right about the frozen thin mints - ah, so wonderful. |
