Talk about stupid. Get a load of this 'reason' that Desiree gives for why she was dumped by the White House. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2010/02/26/ST2010022604259.html?sid=ST2010022604259 "According to one person with whom Rogers shared her grievances and who would only speak anonymously to divulge details of a sensitive topic, Rogers complained that the White House's effort not to antagonize the Secret Service led to the White House making an example of her. (The Secret Service director publicly took the blame and the White House declined to make Rogers available to the House committee.) According to the friend, Rogers said she felt the knives in the White House were out for her." Excuse me? How in the hell does "not antagonize" the Secret Service equate with trashing two Secret Service agents for Desiree's screw-up? (Yep, that's not going to antagonize them at all; why, they'll just want to give Desiree a big hug.) Unbelievable. This woman is so dumb. |

Desiree is all about Desiree. She obviously did something to anger the Queen Bee Michelle and her wannabe Queen Bee Valerie Jarrett. How long does one think that the wannabe will be around? My guess is that her shelf life expiration date is approaching as well - particularly if Obama continues to tank in the polls. |

Excuse me? How is possible to 'anger' Michelle; you'd have to be angrier than her - and how is that possible? Satan Eyes is the angriest woman in the world. Still, there are two clues to Desiree's demise - she not only didn't do her job, she didn't like it. Look how she described her job. "....(Desiree) complained about the limits of the job, which she expected to be broader than that of a glorified party planner. The more substantive role she imagined would have given her a hand in administration arts policy, and other areas that the economic crisis minimized as priorities." "...glorified party planner?" Now THAT is arrogance! Some people work their whole lives to be White House Social Secretary but this woman is acting as if it was nothing but a maid's job she was slumming at until a better job came along. You know, I knew this woman was trouble the moment I saw that picture of her in a group photo of her White House staff at the start of the presidency. Talk about nasty body language - she sat with her back to all of them, plus she literally sat ON one of them and stuck her elbow in the woman's face. Body language says it all - and I wouldn't have wanted to have been part of this bitch's team for beans. Looks to me that it was a combination of her not doing her job as well as antagonizing everyone else so that when she goofed they wouldn't cover for her. This looks to be a situation of chickens coming home to roost. Edited by Carolyn says, Feb 27 2010, 05:43 PM.

She angered Michelle by making her first big party a royal mess - not talked about because of Michelle's dress or because she was the hostess with the mostest - rather it was talked about because the White House had uninvited social climbers crash the party because her "glorified party planner" was too busy concerned with her own dress to be attending to her job. |

I seem better manners and decorum from Jed, Granny, Jethro, and Elly May. The Beverly Hillbillies series starts with the OK Oil Company learning of an inadvertent strike in Jed Clampett's Ozark swamp land. Patriarch Jed moves with his family into a mansion next door to his banker (Mr. Drysdale) in the wealthy Los Angeles County city of Beverly Hills, California, where he brings a moral, unsophisticated, and minimalistic lifestyle to the swanky, self-obsessed, community. Well doggies! Edited by Baldo, Feb 27 2010, 06:47 PM.

Well, considering the qualifications of who is president, I can understand why one of their friends is disappointed in not having greater authority. |

Make an example of her? What a joke. They protected her all they could. If they wanted to make an example out of her they wouldn't blocked attempts by congress to have her testify. |

Did Zero write on his left hand "Good" and right hand "bye"? No teleprompter required. His adminsitration is a zero as he has surrounded himself with the most radical, arrogant, ill prepared people. |

Yes, they prevented her from testifying because they were afraid that some hard questions might be asked by the Republicans on the committee which of course, Deisree would either have to refuse to answer (which would look bad) or she would be pressed in such a awy that even by partially shading the truth she would expose how incompetent ly things are ebing run from the social side. Therefore, she was kept on until the press lost all interest and then she was pushed out the door. You have to say this about the Obamas - they give new meaning to throwing someone under the bus. Only in office a year and look how many (though not enough for my taste) have left the administration or, when proposed for a job and their backgrounds have been revealed, have withdrawn their names (but only after having been left ot dangle in the winds). Of course, when one is busy involving oneself in police matters in Massachusetts, vacationing all over at the tax payers expense, and in the case of Mrs. Obama digging a garden whose produce is tainted and waging a war on fat (all the while checking out which awful designer dresses she can wear (okay, I couldn't help the catty remark)that make her look like shee needs to engage in a little personal war on fat herself - one is too busy to do much else. |

A fundraiser as social secretary The promotion of Julianna Smoot to White House Social Secretary is good news for wealthy donors to President Obama's campaign, for whom Smoot -- the chief campaign fundraiser -- is friend and point of contact. Smoot, who had been working in the relative obscurity of the U.S. Trade Representative's office, will now be the key gatekeeper to the kind of social functions from which donors have complained that this administration, unlike President Clinton's, has barred them. But the choice to unite money and access in the person of Smoot -- a career political fundraiser whose efforts were downplayed by a campaign eager to focus on small donors -- cuts against both President Obama's broader message of change and against the talking points of her departing predecessor, Desiree Rogers. Rogers told Lynn Sweet that she saw her role as turning the White House into the "people's house," and Michelle Obama praised her in a statement for "welcoming scores of everyday Americans through its doors, from wounded warriors to local schoolchildren to NASCAR drivers." Smoot may have the same goal, but her credentials and relationships point in the opposite direction: To ensuring access and satisfaction for the ultra-wealthy elite who will, incidentally, be called on to finance President Obama's next campaign. A White House official says appointing a fundraising staffer Social Secretary isn't "outside the norm" because one of President George W. Bush's Social Secretaries, Lea Berman, had been such a staffer, though not one of Smoot's centrality. Once again, an overnight at the Lincoln Bedroom will be yours if you contribute to Hope and Change Part II in a very substantial way. |

Desiree Rogers was expendable. Valerie Jarrett is THE Queen Bee, not Michelle Obama. Julianna Smoot's appointment, if taken alongside the new emphasis on bringing in David Plouffe, is telling. Obama is ramping up the next campaign, for sure. He doesn't know how to lead or to govern- Soros/Podesta/Rahm are doing that for him- but he DOES know how to campaign and that's the Axelrod/Plouffe/Gibbs trifecta. |

Desiree is a minor example of a HUGE problem - Obama's dirty money. It's tainted everything in the Big Zero's presidency. She got this job because she contributed $200,000+ to his campaign. She wasn't chosen for competence but for cash - and because the president chose one and not the other, his life was literally endangered when Desiree allowed three uninvited strangers to just waltz into a state banquet where any one of them could have pulled a 'Ft. Hood' as they lunged for the President screaming 'Allah Akbar'. (How's that money working out for you now, big Zero?) Well, now they've finally kicked Desiree's complaining butt underneath the bus - but there's still that problem left behind. The dirty money. A while back an article pointed out that dirty money has infected Obama's presidency to the point where he's shattered all previous records for handing out appointments and posts to people who gave him money - NO other president in history has sold as many as he is. He sells everything. Everything has a price - just ask the American taxpayers who were sold out less than a month after Obama took office when Rahm Emanuel accepted a $183 million bribe from PhArma (in the Roosevelt Room, no less) to cheat American taxpayers of lower prices for their medicines. Everything is for sale in this administration - the dirty money is everywhere. And this dirty money has ALWAYS been there. It was there when 'someone' paid Obama's way into Harvard. It was there when he sold out his slum constituents to Rezko for a mansion in Kenwood, it was where his wife sold out sick and dying constituents to UCMC simply for a couple hundred grand a year, etc. The dirty money has been there from the start and it's only grown bigger since he entered the Oval Office. Desiree was never more than an ugly weed sprouting from the manure of Obama's corruption. The weed's gone but the manure is still there and it's steaming to sprout even more corruption. When in the hell is that corruption going to stink high enough for the media to finally follow it to its source? How much corruption is finally too much? Sorry - rant off. |
