The fact that it's still a pit... Great video on this disaster, and private vs public. Some interesting things I didn't know at all about what's going on at the site, and a sad commentary on government run projects... http://www.redstate.com/erick/2010/02/25/world-trade-center-disaster/ |

As I am retired I do part time consulting for an engineering firm. My specialty is in mainly construction & design of water systems. I can offer the knowledge of having run a business and experienced the failures and successes of construction. I have no experience in building skyscrapers, but this video describes precisely one of the most crucial problems facing our country, Government. I can tell you horror stories, incompetence, waste, and just plain laziness that comes with Governement. We can't build quickly and under cost anymore in this country when government is involved. I am sure that we all have our own stories in our sphere of influence. 30% of government employees are wonderful. It is a blessing when you find them, but they are trapped in a system that encourages CYA-ing and placing stops in front of advancement. Edited by Baldo, Feb 26 2010, 05:14 PM.
