Pretty good, especially when you consider all the snow and how difficult Mustangs are in that condition (unless they went front wheel drive). I've always liked the Mustangs since Shelby was involved. |

They went with a 305hp V6 that gets 30mpg, and a new 412hp DOHC 5.0 V8 that gets 25mpg...the new base model nearly matches the old GT for power... http://cache-02.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/12/2009/12/2011_mustang_gt__3_.jpg |

I'd assume you'll envy me for having visited The Shelby American Collection a couple times! They have a great collection and merchandise there. Being a Ferrari owner, a Formula One fan and one that admires any racing that requires drivers to accelerate, decelerate, drive up and down hills and even turn right (Nascar?), I have nothing but respect for Shelby. What Shelby accomplished with that 289 was worthy of the fame he holds. He did a great job with many models that followed. He’s near the top of my list, just below Enzo! The difference I see between the two is that Shelby, due to his source of funding, was forced to make race cars out of production vehicle designs, while Enzo made race cars designs he later used in limited production. Just for a laugh, it is a fact that Enzo drove a Fiat to work every day at Ferrari, a car from the company and friend he later merged with. |

I drove a Challenger 340 with the six-pack. Tough to keep tuned, went to Holley quad 650 or 850 I believe. As I aged I learned to drive more than a 1/4 mile straight. The Mopars won most of those, especially the Hemi's. |
