More of Longstop's article:

A bombshell has just exploded in the 2010 elections.

For the second time in five months, the Obama White House is being accused -- by Democrats -- of offering high ranking government jobs in return for political favors. What no one is reporting is that this is a violation of federal law that can lead to prison time, a fine or both, according to Title 18, Chapter 11, Section 211 of the United States Code.

The jobs in question? Secretary of the Navy and a position within the U.S. Agency for International Development.

The favor requested in return? Withdrawal from Senate challenges to two sitting United States Senators, both Democrats supported by President Obama. The Senators are Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania and Michael Bennet in Colorado.

On Friday, Pennsylvania Congressman Joe Sestak, the Democrat challenging Specter for re-nomination, launched the controversy by accusing the Obama White House of offering him a federal job in exchange for his agreeing to abandon his race against Specter.

In August of 2009, the Denver Post reported last September, Deputy White House Chief of Staff Jim Messina "offered specific suggestions" for a job in the Obama Administration to Colorado Democrat Andrew Romanoff, a former state House Speaker, if Romanoff would agree to abandon a nomination challenge to U.S. Senator Michael Bennet. Bennet was appointed to the seat upon the resignation of then-Senator Ken Salazar after Salazar was appointed by Obama to serve as Secretary of the Interior. According to the Post, the specific job mentioned was in the U.S. Agency for International Development. The Post cited "several sources who described the communication to The Denver Post."

The paper also describes Messina as "President Barack Obama's deputy chief of staff and a storied fixer in the White House political shop." Messina's immediate boss is White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.

Sestak is standing by his story. Romanoff refused to discuss it with the Denver paper. In both instances the White House has denied the offers took place. The Sestak story in the Philadelphia Inquirer, reported by Thomas Fitzgerald, can be found here, While the Denver Post story, reported by Michael Riley, from September 27, 2009, can be read here.

In an interview with Philadelphia television anchor Larry Kane, who broke the story on Larry Kane: Voice of Reason, a Comcast Network show, Sestak says someone -- unnamed -- in the Obama White House offered him a federal job if he would quit the Senate race against Specter, the latter having the support of President Obama, Vice President Biden and, in the state itself, outgoing Democratic Governor Ed Rendell. Both Biden and Rendell are longtime friends of Specter, with Biden taking personal credit for convincing Specter to leave the Republican Party and switch to the Democrats. Rendell served as a deputy to Specter when the future senator's career began as Philadelphia's District Attorney, a job Rendell himself would eventually hold.

Asked Kane of Sestak in the Comcast interview:

"Is it true that you were offered a high ranking job in the administration in a bid to get you to drop out of the primary against Arlen Specter?"

"Yes" replied Sestak.

Well, what do you expect from a two-bit 'community organizer' from the most corrupt party machine in America?

This big-eared kid is out of his depth. He's like an 11 year old given the helm to his dad's yacht and the kid's hands can't even reach the wheel. So he gets his school buddies to steer the ship for him while he leans over the side of the boat and goes 'weeeeeeeee!'.

But when that ship hits the rocks and the rats jump overboard in droves, this kid is going to find that grinning at daddy is so NOT going to make things right.

No MSM coverage, it'll prolly just fade away, though many hope for different results. Even if something more comes of it, somebody down the ladder would take the fall.

Seeing how the current administration does not concern itself with little things such as the law, and the constitution do you really think they will allow real elections????

After Brown's first vote do you really think he is a opposition candidate to the current government in Washington?

What do you think is the real reason for the exodus of all the current democratic members of the House and Senate? Do you think that possibly they did not support the supreme leader 100%?

Hail Obama :ears:

Cargo Cult President (updated)

On February 22, 2010, after well over a year in office and more than three years after announcing his candidacy for President, Obama released his health care reform plan.

Yet he urged Congress to pass health care reform last August.

And with all that time to come up with his own plan, the Congressional Budget Office says the plan is not detailed enough to estimate its cost and other impacts. Per CBO director Douglas Elmendorf, "CBO cannot provide a cost estimate for the proposal without additional detail."

What was released on the White House web site was not even a legislative proposal, but an outline of intentions. One could say that it looks an awful lot like a campaign issue statement.

If not already painfully obvious to anyone paying attention, all the Obama administration can do is campaign. That makes total sense, since Obama had never held an executive or even managerial position in his entire life prior to being sworn into office. But he had tons of experience campaigning and giving speeches.

In short, that's how he thinks the world works: give a speech and publish a public relations brochure on your web site, and the world responds.

He is the Cargo Cult President. At least the real Cargo Cult followers built real things that looked like landing strips to get airplanes loaded with food and supplies to land on them. Obama thinks you get factories to produce things and hospitals to fix people by making speeches -- speeches that are reasonably good imitations of speeches given by real leaders.More here with Update: http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2010/02/cargo_cult_president.html

Longstop, there are great points in the article. Obama is an empty suit and a Muslim too boot. The radicals have always told us that the best way to conquer the United States is from the top. They seem to be making great progress. Like I said before, as long as Zero is in the WH, the country is in trouble. He is tearing apart the entire infrastructure of the country.
