Former President Bill Clinton was hospitalized in New York on Thursday after experiencing chest pain, two sources told CNN.

The sources did not know whether it was a "full heart attack."

The White House was told of the situation, a source close to the former president told CNN.

Clinton, 63, underwent quadruple bypass surgery in 2004 at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Doctors in 2005 removed scar tissue and fluid that had built up after that surgery.

A spokeswoman for that hospital said she had not heard anything about the report.

In recent weeks, Clinton was overseeing the United Nations aid mission in Haiti after a January 12 earthquake struck there

New York — Former President Bill Clinton had two stents inserted in one of his coronary arteries after being hospitalized with chest pains, an adviser said Thursday.

Clinton was at his Harlem office when he experienced chest pains and went to New York Presbyterian Hospital. He had quadruple bypass surgery at the same facility in 2004.

A flawed man. But I wish him well like I did before with his other health issues.

I'm sorry. The moment I heard he was sick in hospital, the first thing that popped into my mind was the mental picture of Hillary visiting him to gently press a pillow against his face.

Sorry about that folks. It's Thursday and I'm morbid.

He had stents put in an artery.

I remember Cheney's stents being a source of amusements for the left, but we aren't that low.

Perhaps not THAT low... but the image of Hillary with a pillow in her hands is just too compelling...

Actually, I don't think she would do it gently - she would be cackling, he would be struggling and she would have that maniacal look on her face.

Waking up from surgery and find her by your bed would be like looking at the Angel of Death!
