Are we are going to lose our banking sovereignty to the Statist Brown ? http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/23a35d16-1692-11df-aa09-00144feab49a.html snip Global bank tax near, says Brown By George Parker and Lionel Barber Published: February 10 2010 23:22 | Last updated: February 10 2010 23:22 Gordon Brown said on Wednesday the world’s leading economies were close to agreeing a global bank tax, amid hopes in Downing Street that a deal can be concluded at the G20 summit in Canada in June. There's has to be some form of a treaty in place for us to be an active member. The question is what all the treaty allows in the way of fees for membership, which I'd hope would not be taxes. The IMF has been taking on too many political objectives concerning 'helping the poorer nations'. The problem is no longer the worries about redistribution of wealth growing to bite us from all ends - hands out for funding from the local level all the way through international organizations - it's now multiple blood suckers at all levels looking for more to spread out.
