Someone calling in on a talk radio program I listened to today made an astute observation, IMO. He said the tea party movement should remain leaderless so as to not allow MSM and the left to destroy the movement by demonizing the leader. He said the movement should remain as it is which is a barely organized broad spectrum of people dissatisfied with Washington. Palin is not the leader and there is no leader of the tea party group. As far as Palin writing a few notes on her hand-- much ado about nothing. |

I agree with that. I know some of the people who put together the parties in Louisiana. The things are a conservative version of a flash mob. I feel confident all the folks will be available to elect conservatives when the time comes. |

The way that she baited them in with the notes on her hand, and then cut them off with another note on her hand, was spectacular. She simultaneously made fun of Obama and made the Dems look very bad, and smiled politely the whole time. |

Remember, Andrea Mitchell pushed her way through the balloon drop and the crowds at the RNC to get Sarah's autograph... |

I totally agree. There should be no identified leader. Anyone stepping forward to claim the title should be summarily shunned. There is power in the numbers of we the people. It will continue to confound the progressives, being denied a target. |

One of the the things that will have a lot of impact is that the Baton Rouge Tea Party has a legislative director who keeps up with what Louisiana lawmakers are up to. He notifies the group when a pertinent issue comes up and then they go and testify at legislative committee hearings. This is a big change from the status quo. The public employee unions and lobbyists and groups that depend upon taxpayer handouts have heretofore had that venue to themselves. |

http://comments.realclearpolitics.com/read/42325/566113.html Andrea Mitchell mocking Palin. Every time they do this...it rebounds on THEM. Most of America identifies with the notes on Palin's hand. So someone like Mitchell reminds all of us..we'd be targets of their elitist snobby nastiness too. This is Sarah's gift to us. She reveals them so successfully. |

Scratching my head, wondering if I can remember a so-called correspondent so openly mocking a major political figure . . . Andrea.."Queen of the Mean Girls"...a comment after this post calls her. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/mark-finkelstein/2010/02/08/mitchell-mocks-palins-hand-notes On Morning Joe, NBC "correspondent" Andrea Mitchell ridiculed Sarah Palin's use of hand notes during her Tea Party Q. and A. by displaying some hand notes of her own . . . ANDREA MITCHELL: She went after him on the teleprompter issue, you know, we need more, we need somebody who doesn't, I don't remember the exact words, who doesn't use a teleprompter, gives a great speech and uses a teleprompter. Then it was noted by Gawker that she looked down at her hand during the Q. and A. and that on her hand she had written her top three points: energy and budget cuts and optimism. So I figured I would do the same thing today, just in case the prompter broke. I had, I knew that I was going to be on with Chuck and Mika. But then I saw Joe that you were over on the Today show, so I figured I had to cross you out and put Chuck in. It's a great deal: if you can put all your policy pronouncements on your hand. Does anyone remember the last time Andrea hauled out a teleprompter to tease Pres. Obama? |

Personally, Joan - in my opinion, Andrea's a piker compared to Keith "Brown is an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, tea-bagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees.....and I left out the word 'sexist.'" Olberman. That being said, however, Andrea has only made herself look a jerk. (Not hard, I grant, but she still did it.) But for me, I note what she did NOT say. It's not a question of whether or not someone has notes but what they do with them. Even when Obama has notes, on his hand or his teleprompter (or pasted on his forehead), he still stutters and stammers like a jerk. Sarah, however, is the complete opposite. Did we see Sarah stammer last night? No. She was fluid, she was graceful, she spoke off the cuff because - she's smart enough to think of her words and phrases in the blink of an eye. But Obama's 'blink'? Good lord, the whole world saw that 'blink' of his in Boston. For crissakes, that wasn't just embarrassing, it was cringe worthy. I mean, his followers must wet themselves seeing that tape of their glorious leader falling apart just because some heckler yelled at him from the gallery. Come on, Obama fell apart. I know he did because I watched him, I saw it with my own eyes. He literally came unglued and for an entire minute paced the podium and grinned and shuffled and said nothing because his brain was too stupid to think of anything. Ah, man, compare THAT with Palin on the most nerve-wracking night of her life. Forget a lousy townhall meeting - this was her campaign acceptance speech as Vice-Presidential candidate for McCain. The whole world was watching her. It was make or break. And what happened? Her teleprompter broke down. But did she stammer and shuffle and grin until it got fixed? Hell no! Quick as a bat, without blinking an eye, she came out with a quip right off the top of her head that has now become famous - the 'hockey mom is a pit bull with lipstick'. A nanosecond, it took Palin only a nanosecond to respond. Compare THAT with Obama shuffling and stumbling and eyeball rolling for an entire minute. No comparison. Andrea can make all the dumb degrading jokes about her hand, about anyone's hand that she wants. She can even extend the middle digit (which, of course, she's just done) but it won't change things. She's backing a stammering loser and attacking a smooth talking winner. And this country knows which is which. |

That's a "bitch" look to me. Like she was mad Palin made the cover of the magizine. Her life evidently lacks joy. |

Putting words in Andrea's mouth; ""What. Is. This? I found it under Alan's side of the bed, he claims it's only for the articles"" Humor added under one of the pic's! |
