Joan Foster

We just caught the last part and the Q& A.

She seems very relaxed and very much "herself."

They must be writhing in agony over at MSNBC.

I hope she does not run for President or develop this into a third party. She can do the most good for the country outside of politics...speaking and assisting candtdates with her views and values.

I watched on CSpan. Turned to Fox just in time to hear Geraldo and Juan declare that's "She's the leader". They are both hard of hearing.

No teleprompters and she spoke for about an hour. Amazing for such a lightweight! :sarc2:

I agree, Joan. She has a gift for crystalizing ideas but not necessarily in how to make them a reality. A third party scares me for the simple reason that statistically it only helps Democrats.

Palin to Obama: ‘Stop lecturing, start listening’
Former Alaska governor slams president's handling of economy, security

updated 24 minutes ago

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Sarah Palin had some pointed advice to President Barack Obama on Saturday night: "Stop lecturing and start listening."

In her keynote address to the inaugural national "tea party" convention, Palin declared that "America is ready for another revolution" and repeatedly assailed Obama before adoring activists, a seemingly natural constituency should she run for president.

"This movement is about the people," the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee said as the crowd roared. "Government is supposed to be working for the people."

Palin: Obama could win votes by playing 'war card'

Sarah Palin says that if President Barack Obama "played the war card," he could improve his chances of being re-elected.

Palin says that declaring war on Iran or showing stronger support for Israel might convince voters that Obama is tougher than they think on national security and doing all he can to protect the U.S.

Otherwise, according to Palin, Obama won't be re-elected if he continues on his current path.

Palin was interviewed on "Fox News Sunday" - the network where the former GOP vice presidential nominee is a paid commentator.

I'd mentioned, and maybe linked(?), that I had read an article by Pat Buchhanon in which he said wrote about the "war card". I'll assume Palin must have either read it or it's a topic of discussion on the political fronts.

Look how they mock her faith..our faith...faith in anything but their "god" Obama.

This was the third part of her answer, verbatim: "I think, kind of tougher to, um, put our arms around, but allowing America's spirit to rise again by not being afraid to kind of go back to some of our roots as a God fearing nation where we're not afraid to say, especially in times of potential trouble in the future here, where we're not afraid to say, you know, we don't have all the answers as fallible men and women so it would be wise of us to start seeking some divine intervention again in this country, so that we can be safe and secure and prosperous again. To have people involved in government who aren't afraid to go that route, not so afraid of the political correctness that you know -- they have to be afraid of what the media said about them if they were to proclaim their alliance on our creator."

For those keeping track, the first part of that answer was a 100-word run-on sentence.

Ron Chusid asks, "So, one of the U.S. Congress's top priorities should be ... asking for divine intervention from God?"

The answer, apparently, is yes.

I realize right-wing activists adore the former governor, but her conspicuous unintelligence should be obvious to anyone above the age of 4. There hasn't been a more ridiculous figure to hold American political prominence in a very long time.

She's simply an embarrassment.

"...first part of that answer was a 100-word run-on sentence"

Unless they're using a teleprompter, it's common for most politicians to include quite a few incomplete sentences into one. I've always just assumed they were going off subject notes or searching for ways to include so many points that hit home on the topic and it would be more confusing if the sentence was proper.

I doubt if many readers would openly express that they see it as a problem for Congress to look for a little "...divine intervention from God".

Maybe what she is saying that we should be humble enough to know we don't know it all and, therefore, to go back to our roots in which we relied more on God and less on our own egos.

I adore Palin. Honestly and truly.

But there is ONE thing I disagree with her big time about - her endorsement of McCain. That stinks every possible way you can look at it. Nothing is good about it. Nothing.

McCain is a liar and a con and a disgrace to the uniform he once wore. He has stabbed not just Palin but America and especially conservatives in the back so hard and so often that he is up to his knees in blood - and he's still stabbing. It horrifies me that Palin would endorse someone who abused her so badly - what is the matter with her? But even if she would overlook his lies and cruelty to her, there is no way she can justify overlooking his lies and cruelty to America and to the conservative movement. NOTHING about her support of him makes sense. Nothing, nothing, nothing.

Every conservative I know is moving heaven and earth to see that this lying, back-stabbing, evil, treacherous creep (and those are his good points) has his filthy ass kicked into the gutter in the August primaries this year. He is an abomination.

Okay, rant off.

(BTW, I still like Sarah. Even though this endorsement is a whopper of a stupid stupid choice.)

Sarah campaigned for Rick Perry today in Houston. She can draw a crowd, that's for sure.

Quote:

Palin said Texas and Alaska had some “really sweet connections, ... independent pioneer-spirited people and big wide open spaces.”

“A lot of us in our states proudly cling to our guns and religion,” she told a cheering crowd.

She also said Alaskans and Texans “pretty much want the same things —a good job in our hometown, safety and security for our loved ones and we just want a small and smarter government that'll kind of get out of our way.”

“And no one understands that better than my good friend Rick Perry.”

Sarah will also be in Houston tomorrow at a "Get Motivated" seminar which is a skill-building business event to sharpen one's business skills and ignite motivation. Speakers include Colin Powell, Rudy Guiliani, Zig Zigler, and Terry Bradshaw. I have friends who plan to attend.

One of the things Palin personifies is a peace with those who are basic, ordinary people who want a good job in their hometown and to live a good life.

One of the attitudes of Rev. Wright was a contempt for the middle class. IIRC, he said that wasn't good enough or something like that. Perhaps Obama drunk in that poisonous attitude and has difficulty relating or respecting the middle class in favor of elitism.

Sarah is so cool. What a great shot she has taken at Obama's use of the teleprompter and at Dems. She was way ahead of them...

She wrote some basic notes on her hand and deliberately allowed them to be seen during her speech...and then sprung the trap.

Try to send her PAC at least $20 a month. If every person who wrote a key point message on their hand, like the Capital of Montana, voted for Governor Sarah, she would out do Ronnie in winning 50 out of 50 States instead of 49 out of 50. Wanna see those feminazis cry on the Telly again.
