Just makes me wonder what else the media knows. Specifically, what do they know about Zer0 and The Shoe Lady? (Every time I see Mowebama telling me to donate to Haiti, all I see are those ugly $500 shoes...) |

Several media outlets have reported on these rumors. Elizabeth Benjamin at The Daily News describes the report as "much worse" than the governor's previous admission of an affair with a state employee, though she declines to name NYT by name. We've now heard from a single source familiar with the goings on at the Governor's office that the story will likely drop on Monday, and that the governor's resignation will follow. We've not yet confirmed the timing of the article or the governor's future plans. |

Spitzer was a whore-buying-nazi, always looking for a victim of his authority to make headlines with. Patterson, well ....I'm surprised he'd let it bother him enough to resign. |

http://washingtontimes.com/weblogs/watercooler/2010/feb/07/business-insider-report-ny-gov-paterson-resign-mon/ UPDATE: Business Insider report: N.Y. Gov. Paterson to resign Monday following bombshell story By Kerry Picket on Feb. 7, 2010 into Water Cooler 7:32 PM 2/7/10 - BUSINESS INSIDER UPDATE: The governor's office completely denies any plans to resign and says "the Times story" will not run tomorrow. Rumors have been swirling around for a number of days now about a New York Times story that will break Monday about a possible career-ending issue on New York's Gov. David Paterson (D). Business Insider is reporting the latest: Elizabeth Benjamin at The Daily News describes the report as "much worse" than the governor's previous admission of an affair with a state employee, though she declines to name NYT by name. We've now heard from a single source familiar with the goings on at the Governor's office that the story will likely drop on Monday, and that the governor's resignation will follow. Mr. Paterson's low poll numbers have caused Democrats to demand New York's first black governor not run for re-election, so New York's Attorney General Andrew Cuomo (D) can run for the seat his dad, former Gov. Mario Cuomo, held between 1983 and 1994. Immediately following the March 2008 resignation of New York's former Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D) -- who himself left office plagued by scandal -- Mr. Paterson admitted to an extramarital affair with another woman. The younger Mr. Cuomo may find running for the governor's seat to be easier now, but will New York want to take a chance on another Democrat after two consecutive scandal-ridden party members have lived in the Governor's mansion immediately before? |

If they liked him and his numbers weren't so bad, we probably wouldn't be hearing the story... |
