She went to school at the University of Wisconsin in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. So I wouldn't hold that against her.

But all the other things . . . go ahead

I didn't know she had dated Andrew Cuomo.

I find Sandra Lee hard to take as well, but her personal story is an inspiring one. I don't remember all of the details but I do remember that at some point in her late teens she was left to raise her siblings and did so.

Another Kennedy cousin is looking dopey today as well:

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/beltway-confidential/RFK-79834057.html

"Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who flies around on private planes so as to tell larger numbers of people how they must live their lives in order to save the planet, wrote a column last year on the lack of winter weather in Washington, D.C.

In Virginia, the weather also has changed dramatically. Recently arrived residents in the northern suburbs, accustomed to today's anemic winters, might find it astonishing to learn that there were once ski runs on Ballantrae Hill in McLean, with a rope tow and local ski club. Snow is so scarce today that most Virginia children probably don't own a sled. But neighbors came to our home at Hickory Hill nearly every winter weekend to ride saucers and Flexible Flyers.

In those days, I recall my uncle, President Kennedy, standing erect as he rode a toboggan in his top coat, never faltering until he slid into the boxwood at the bottom of the hill. Once, my father, Atty. Gen. Robert Kennedy, brought a delegation of visiting Eskimos home from the Justice Department for lunch at our house. They spent the afternoon building a great igloo in the deep snow in our backyard. My brothers and sisters played in the structure for several weeks before it began to melt. On weekend afternoons, we commonly joined hundreds of Georgetown residents for ice skating on Washington's C&O Canal, which these days rarely freezes enough to safely skate.

Meanwhile, Exxon Mobil and its carbon cronies continue to pour money into think tanks whose purpose is to deceive the American public into believing that global warming is a fantasy.

Having shoveled my walk five times in the midst of this past weekend's extreme cold and blizzard, I think perhaps RFK, Jr. should leave weather analysis to the meteorologists instead of trying to attribute every global phenomenon to anthropogenic climate change.

For the good that they did I applaud them, but my goodness talk about a family that should fade to black. Patrick & Robert Jr are a shell of JFK & RFK.

Robert's stand on Global Warming will come back to haunt him as he will become a joke along with it. I can't stomach a super wealthy person flying around in private jets lecturing me about Global Warming

Everything has an ending

BTW a Whimsical song from a wonderful Band

Big Ted - The Incredible String Band

Big Ted's dead , he was a great old pig
He'd eat most anything, never wore a wig
Now he's gone like snow on the water, good bye
He was getting old so the farmer said
"Sold him to the butcher just to make a little bread"
Now he's gone like snow on the water, don't cry
Ted may be a moo cow next time around
Giving sweet milk to the people in the town
He'll be whatever he will choose on air or sea or ground
The sows are busy with the piglets fine
I'd put them in the forest now if they were mine
cause I know they like acorns and I don't like bacon
Boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy
Squidly, squidly, squidly, squidly, squidly, squidly, squidly
Boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy, boochy
Sham sham sharoo, oh sham sham sharoo
Big Ted's sold and gone...

They were quite a unique band that were popular in the late 60's.

One of my favorites was This Moment. The decision to kiss a girl.

Rusty I don't hold it against her. Only noticed the Lacrosse first and thought WOW. Then later saw Wisconsin-Lacrosse. I've been to Lacrosse. Nice town and one of my good friends from HS has lived there for years and works at the University.

What I would hold against her is dating the Andrew Cuomo. I'm sure Momma would prefer a nice, Italian girl. Well at least he won't starve.

I lived in Northern Virginia when Kennedy was president. Winters were nothing like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has described.

Just typical political BS. Snow was not scarce in northern Virginia I do not know what anemic winters he is talking about - certainly not anything in recent years. Kennedy would not have been riding a toboggan standing erect - someone with back problems like he had would have wound up with severe injuries. I doubt that there was any iglo building either - it takes a different type of snow then one would find in northern Virginia. What is is about the current generation of Kennedys that they find the truth so difficult or lying so easy? Could it be a genetic inheritance?

Except if he wrecks his car again he will likely be given a field sobriety test and go to jail. But yeah he will be free to have all the fun he wants.

Rusty got it right.

http://www.usatoday.com/NEWS/usaedition/2010-02-12-capcol12_ST_U.htm?csp=34

(AP) Rep. Patrick Kennedy has decided not to seek re-election, saying his life is "taking a new direction" just months after the death of his father and mentor, Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass.

The Rhode Island Democrat taped a message to be broadcast on TV in the state Sunday night. The Associated Press viewed the message Thursday, ahead of the announcement. The eight-term congressman has been in and out of treatment for substance abuse since crashing his car outside the U.S. Capitol in 2006. Kennedy, 42, has been comfortably re-elected twice since then.

Damn, another one bites the dust. They're dropping like flies. And it isn't even November yet.

Well, well, well.......without Dad there to cover his back and pull favors, Patches may have finally (perhaps in a sober moment) figured that things would no longer be so cushy. Good riddance and perhaps, just perhaps, the myth that was Camelot will vanish in the mist.

Frist time in 50 years no Kennedy! Horray. Patches could have probably got in on the sympathy vote but could not keep his mouth shut. Wonder who told him to bow out now? Heard him on the radio myself. Someone followed with he is hurting since his father died.
