Yes I'm equating the two issues. When one of the leaders of the movement is a Troofer it's a reasonable thing to do. The movement seems to be operating from the same play book if the Mike Castle town hall proves to be a pattern. Both offer multiple theories sans any positive proof and have an amazing ability to ignore any proof that doesn't fit their theory.
I just want to see the paper trail of the man's life. If you choose to mock serious people asking for traditionally available information about a President of the US, then go ahead have at it, if it makes you feel better. I think it's telling that you choose to find these two issues equivalent. I don't. Guess we disagree.
Genny, you are right, thes is absolutely no paper from ths President whatsoever. No school records, no medical record, just a letter from a doctor. When Bush ran against Kerry we had all kinds of school records. When Bush and Cheney were in office they had all kinds of medical records, especilly on the VP, we knew every stint he had and every heartbeat he had. This President has produced absolutely nothing except a note from his doctor.

"There's no amount of evidence or data that will change somebody's mind. The more data you present a person, the more they doubt it."
Basically, what happens is that people either ignore the contrary evidence or find some way to dispute it, sometimes by making it a part of the larger conspiracy.

It would be nice to see the data and the evidence wouldn't it? So people can make up their own mind? Point me to it and let me decide. The BC is the least of what I want to see.

It ain't goin' away. Whoo Hoo! :popc: :popc: :popc:

Gibbs still talking about the birthcertiificatetoday.

Politico is reporting that White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbels once again dismissed conspiracy theories about Obama's citizenship ...

... in his daily briefing Monday, noting that proof of Obama's birthplace had been posted online and Obama's citizenship had been demonstrated "ad nauseam."

But Gibbels, sounding alternately bemused and exasperated, told White House reporters that conspiracy theories about the president's birthplace would never go away.

"I hate to indulge, in such an august setting as the White House briefing room...the made-up, fictional nonsense whether the president was born in this country," Gibbels said. "If I had some DNA, it wouldn't assuage those who believe he wasn't born here."

Attempting to put the issue to rest, once more, Gibbels assured reporters: "The president was born in Honolulu, in the 50th state of the greatest country on the face of the earth...There are 10,000 more important issues for people in this country to discuss, than whether or not the president is a citizen when it's been proven ad nauseam."

Asked to speculate on why conspiracy theorists continue to fixate on the issue, Gibbels joked: "Because for $15 you can get an Internet address and say whatever you want."

Herr Gibbels, for $15 you can also get a real Hawaiian Certificate of Birth. So why has Obama spent in excess of $1 million to prevent the American People from seeing his vault-copy Certificate of Birth? $15 versus $1 million -- Obama's hiding something.

Now, everybody -- carefully watch Gibbels' sophism here -- "...Obama's citizenship had been demonstrated "ad nauseam."

I don't know of anybody who claims Obama is not a citizen, but he sure as hell ain't a "natural born" citizen. How could he be, when Obama himself admits that "at birth" he was a citizen of Kenya and a British subject -- a status he held until his 21st birthday. At that time he would have had to assert his Kenyan citizenship, which he did not do, and his Kenyan citizenship expired.

Brit, perhaps as a British subject, he could become King of England. I guess that wasn't good enough for him so he ran for POTUS.

O'Reilly is being his usual self re. the birth certificate. Apparently, the Southern Law Center is calling for CNN to fire Lou Dobbs because he had some debate over the birth certificate, and O'Reilly had the guy from the SLC on. The head of the SLC said that it was a RACIST issue. (OMG, EVERYTHING is RACIST.) O'Reilly was pontificating as usual and while he defended Dobbs based upon free speech, he DID say that HE has investigated the birth certificate issue and it is patently false. I find it hysterical that he and Gibbs, et al are so imprecise in their language. Most of us understand that the issue is whether or not Obama is a NATURAL BORN citizen and why he will NOT release his vault copy of his birth certificate (or any other records).

Southern Law Center? Do you mean Morris Sleaze's Southern Poverty Law Center? Dobbs has been around for a long time. The guy is no racist. Looks like Dees has long ran out of real racist to go after....

Hawaii: Obama birth certificate is real

By Dan Nakaso, The Honolulu Advertiser

In an attempt to quash persistent rumors that President Obama was not born in Honolulu on Aug. 4, 1961, Hawaii's health director reiterated this afternoon that she has personally seen Obama's birth certificate in the Health Department's archives

"I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaii State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawai'i State Department of Health verifying Barrack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen. I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago...."

On Oct. 31, Fukino originally tried to put an end to the belief among so-called "birthers" that Obama was not born in the United States and thus was ineligible to run for the office of president.

Despite Fukino's statement today, the issue continued to resonate from Capitol Hill to the national airwaves to the blogosphere.

CNN's Lou Dobbs reported that Hawaii officials had destroyed Obama's original 1961 birth certificate without citing a source.
FIND MORE STORIES IN: Barack Obama | Linda Lingle | Lou Dobbs | Neil Abercrombie | United States presidential election, 2008 | Michele Bachmann

A congressional resolution introduced by Hawaii Rep. Neil Abercrombie commemorating the 50th anniversary of Island statehood was postponed today apparently because of a "whereas" clause noting Obama's Hawaii birthplace.

The line "Whereas the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961;" has been construed by some who believe Obama is not a U.S.-born citizen as a thinly veiled attempt to get Congress to affirm Obama's U.S. Citizenship," Abercrombie spokesman Dave Helfert said.

So-called "birthers" denounce the notion that Obama was born in Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital in Honolulu on Aug. 4, 1961, despite court rulings and statements by Fukino and Hawaii's Republican governor, Linda Lingle.

Abercrombie's office had already issued a statement today announcing the House's unanimous approval of Abercrombie's resolution when Minnesota Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann rose today to object to the vote, saying there was not a quorum present.

Before Bachman's objection, Abercrombie spokesman Helfert had said some birthers believe the resolution "means the House of Representatives is on the record that Hawaii is the birthplace of the president of the United States."

Hawaii: Obama's Birth Certificate Real
State officials in Hawaii on Monday said they have once again checked and confirmed that President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen, and therefore meets a key constitutional requirement for being president.

How does a health director know if someone is"natural born"?Has he studied the constitution and Obama Senior's geneology?

Interesting that officials keep commenting on it.
