http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,530322,00.htm Michael Jackson Public Memorial Under Way in Los Angeles Michael Jackson's body was transported from a private memorial service at a Hollywood Hills cemetery to a massive public memorial in downtown Los Angeles that began shortly after 10 a.m. PDT Tuesday. Motown legend Smokey Robinson opened the public service in the Staples Center arena by reading comments from Jackson's famous friends, including Diana Ross. Earlier, family and friends rode in a motorcade of Rolls-Royces, Cadillacs and Range Rovers from Jackson's parents' house in the San Fernando Valley to spend about a half hour at the private service. After that ceremony, a hearse carrying Jackson's gold-plated casket was seen leaving the memorial park, en route to the singer's public service, escorted by Los Angeles law enforcement officials. Among the celebrities expected to attend the public memorial are Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Usher, Lionel Richie, Kobe Bryant, Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer and Martin Luther King III. . |

I believe when a man dies we should celebrate what he did right and leave the bad for his maker to handle. It was a good memorial and Jennifer Hudson was amazing. |

Contrary to popular belief The Ringling Brothers Circus starts tomorrow at the Staples Center. http://www.staplescenter.com/wide.php?page=events P.S. I apologize to all for crazy “Queen” Sheila Jackson-Lee, and her wacky HR. |

. I certainly respect everyone's opinion. However, my concern is the message we send to young people when we honor people like this, in this way - and then ignore the death of a soldier or a seal fighting for our country. It really looks like when your star rises to a certain level, there is no morality necessary. There are no rules and nothing is off-limits. How far the celebrity worship goes is a concern. How many of these people traveling across the country to see MJ would take off work and make the trip for their own Grandfather's funeral? . |

Me, too! At least she's not as bad as Cynthia McKinney, though.

Watch for airports, highways, boulevards, auditoriums and public venues everywhere to start changing their names to The Michael Jackson . . . . When America looses it compass, this is what we are left with. Can't help but wonder where Sheila Jackson Lee was during the lacrosse case when a declaration of "innocent until proven guilty" would have been helpful to RDC. This is their day of glory, but get your brooms and dustpans out because in a few weeks the dirt will start flying. It's going to make Anna Nicole look tame. I agree, Lodge. Some of these race pimps wouldn't go to their own families funerals. |

I think it is clear what I think about MJ's personal life and his obession with children. I suspect we will hear more now that he is dead and cannot sue. Those who were around him will speak out, write books, and in general cash in on the fame. I just believe there is a time and place for everything. Buried him first, let those who loved him morn, and yes let the big mouths circled around him. The truth will find it's way to the surface. Edited by Baldo, Jul 8 2009, 01:02 PM.

It will never end! Besides, they have to reunite his brain with his body. The coroner still has the brain. Hmmm, another book for Orin Starn, only this time it won't be "Ishi's Brain." |
