Obama isn't quite King Midas is he? If the Media protection would go away, it would be really ugly. He's a rank amateur. . |

. Since they're from Chicago, I'd think they'd be used to elevated lead in everything. . |

That probably came from the War of 1812, back then they used lead shot in their rifles. |

Aw shucks. Why'd they have to go and test it so soon? |

Didn't the British burn down the WH in 1814, during the war against them in 1812? |

I thought lead affects people's brains. But in Obamas' case nobody would be able to tell the difference, so no harm done!

In 1998, part of a water piple was replaced on 21st Street in the District with the green polyurethine one. The old pipe was stamped 1890 and one of the workmen told my daughter, who lived in a condo right next to the pipe said "The pipe does not owe us a nickel". Which is true but none the less, you can imagine the water being contaminated with lead from these pipes. I think it does lead contimination and is adversly affecting the brains of the people who live in the City who drink the tap water.

Michelle Obama personally putting hand to pitchfork. . . . Her hand has been on a pitchfork for a long time, especially when she says for the first time she is proud of her country. For the first time, she is proud of her lead contaminated veggie garden. |

What an embarrassment! Certainly I don't expect the first lady to think about the possibilities of contaminated soil before she planted a garden, she is a city girl. But one would think that those in charge of the white house grounds would know what is in the soil. The EPA sure has harassed many of business owners to run those tests and I have worked on some projects before I retired. Cities are dirty places and we have been dumping waste in DC for close to 200 years. It is after-all a cesspool of corruption. I do notice this news item hasn't been picked up by the adoring MSM. |

Does this not rise to the level of a class action lawsuit brought by those unsuspecting diners at the White House who ate the bounty of this garden? Some were even children and I thought with the Dems it was always about the children. |
