"0bamanomics" - socialism at its "finest" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This about sums it up: An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan". All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade, so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F. The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail, because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. Could not be any simpler than that. AMEN --------------------------------------------------------------------------- received in an rmail - no author citation |

"...Obama declared the stimulus bill a success. "It's done its job,"." He's right. The 'job' of the stimulus was to route billions of taxpayer dollars into the pockets of corrupt Wall Streeters and the pork pockets of Congress. |

This almost sound like it came straight from "Rules for Radicals". Drive the economy into the toilet, while all along telling everyone it is improving. |

"Too bad for Barack Obama and the Democrats, but George W. Bush is the shrinking man of American politics, growing ever smaller on the far horizon. Merely invoking his name will soon no longer frighten women and horses. The not-so-new president has treated his predecessor as his training wheels, invoking his presence every time (which is often) the ground trembles, a dog barks, the wind blows, the rain falls and he threatens to topple over. We were promised nirvana, or at least a lollipop, if only we could banish George W. and the inept and evil Republicans. Banish we did, and the messiah from the South Side of Chicago has been practicing miracle-working for five months. Alas, there's no sign of clearing skies. " snip "As the effects of the stimulus, such as they are, begin a slow fade, the unemployment number, already the highest in 26 years, is projected to keep rising. Shrinking payrolls naturally restrain growth. A jobless recovery driven by federal spending may improve certain numbers, but "it's the economy, Stupid." Stupid, standing in the rain out there on the street will say, "Where are the jobs?" Stupid is not actually as stupid as presidents sometimes hope he is. He's not so stupid that he can't see who that is in the White House. " http://washingtontimes.com/news/2009/jul/03/ol-stupid-begins-to-notice-things/?feat=home_headlines |

The days are ending when Chairman Obama can say or do anything to slobbering throngs of enchanted followers. The Audacity of Hope works great as long as you are out of power complaining about the Man screwing you, but when you become the Man you have to produce. His agenda seemed a dream to so many followers and his rise to Mount Olympus was surreal. I watch the Denver coronation and witnessed Olbermann and Matthews bend to kiss the robes. Election night was again an exercise in hero worship. The Chairman is one of the greatest at running for President, but the dream ended there. Reality set in and we watched a man who was totally unprepared to be President stumble as he chose his cabinet and wasn't ready to go from Day 1. He had two months in transition and clearly when it came to actual leadership & executive duties he fell back to his Chicago's days, a series of political coalitions. We are in deep trouble, at the last days of a national credit card being maxed out and he is the wrong man for the job. I suspect four years of Jimmy Carter remixed to a new hip-hop beat. My only question is how much damage can he do? They can do a lot with Pelosi and the California Progressives in charge of Congress for the next two years. I know as I have watched them destroy a state with their new age version of Marxism. We were warned! Twenty years of Black Liberation Theology under Rev Wright, his mentor, and Chicago Political Thuggery as his support team. Our problem is we have a political system which gave us Obama or McCain as our choices. Neither was a solution. Edited by Baldo, Jul 4 2009, 01:13 PM.
