Yes, but their last name is listed as Lombard. So if the Shipp family considered shipp and lombard "married" or partnered then they may have been accepting enough to consider the adopted kids grandchildren.

That's true.

They both have the name Lombard, okay.

So, it looks like legally - Lombard is the Parent for both kids.

Obits and local articles indicate both "functioned" as parents, it can be argued.

AMAZON.COM COULD CARE LESS!

I received the following response to the email I sent regarding the child porn material under Lombard's wish list and the fact that he had been arrested for soliciting sex with his 5 year old son.

I did let them know that their email did not resolve my concerns and laid out the facts as I knew them about this case and the name of the accused once again. I told them that I had to assume by their cavalier attitude that Amazon.com was not interested in the issue of sexually abused and molested children and as such I would make certain that I passed that message along to as many potential customers as I might come in contact with.

I will not buy another item ever from these scrumbags!

Absolutely. One is as responsible as the other for the safety of the child(ren). As bad as some people may feel for Shipp he was the partner of lombard and was a parent to the kids and responsible for them and their care and their safety. I am sure shipp is feeling very bad for himself getting caught in the middle of this. But is being responsible for the kids well being an important part of being a parent? It may become apparent if details come out in the future to determine if the only reason Lombard adopted kids was to use them as sex agents for his own gratification. Shipp, IMO, being an integral part of the parenting care of the kids should have known.

How long were Shipp and Lombard partners and when was the first boy adopted? Would sexual fantasies ever be discussed between two men who wish to be partners and then parents? Many, if not all couples, talk about some sexual fantasy wishes. Worse yet, IMO, is the acceptance of the eno commons community toward consensual adult sexual promiscuity while praising the community as paradise for its children. If it was their intent to create a sexual paradise for adults while the children ran through the flower filled fields then they should have cloistered their neighborhood and worn only fig leaves. But they should not have advertised their physical wants over their spiritual needs. In the meantime, they have failed themselves, their neighbors and the entire community of Durham.
