. The problem with the N&O post (comment) in the previous post is that this is communal housing!
There are 40 Moms or 40 Dads and the kids hang out in different living spaces at will (including common housing).
This place made direct advertising or promotion (certainly provided literature) that would have attracted pedophiles.
. The two different screen shots you posted (the before and after) about the neighborhood tells it all.
You can also see that visitors or tours are no longer offered.
There is so much that is omitted in the "after" web site that had been in the original one.
Thank goodness for people for thinking ahead and "saving" these web pages!

Should the Department of Child and Family Services check out this place? . They've blocked all media from entering the property. Are they letting Social Services personnel on the property? We don't know.
It seems someone is concerned with liability in that mulitple web-sites have been scrubbed or removed.
The local and National media is content with this commune totally blocking access. Would they make any inferences if a polygamous commune had done the same thing? Or a religious cult where something like this is alleged?
The place also has pull with Zann Rosenthal and a couple Indyweek reporters living there - along with other activists and professionals.

If they get a call from a teacher, neighbor, doctor, or anonymous they have to investigate see the kid. They will see them on the premises or at school. Unfortunately, false reports are made, but they still have to investigate.

I wouldn't bet on that britt. If that's the case, then it's because the state of NC is screwed up. The other day my kid told me he wants to go to Wake Forest. I just laughed. No one in our family will be setting foot in the great state of NC.

. . School is out. Some of the kids may be home schooled.
It is very possible they haven't been allowed access to the property. If that happens, there will be a court appearance, IF the authorities push it.
The SS authorities are most likely to be very sympathetic to this community (see Cy Nifong). There will be strong pressure from the locals Social team to only look into Frank Lombard and the two kids, even though he had access to lots of kids.

Oh, come on britt-let the kid come to NC. Not everything or everyone is bad Your legal system is crooked and screwed up. I first became aware of it as a child driving to Florda. NC was the worst. My father never drove fast. Those NC cops would pull you over two, three times a day and drive you to a Kangaroo Court in a chicken coop to steal money from hardworking famlies on their once a year vacation. They loved those Chevies with out of own plates. We were so happy whem we finally reached "South of the Border" on 301.
Then there was the little thing called the Duke Lacrosse Case. No, I would NEVER send a white boy to school in NC.

Hmmmm..can't let that post get past me without a response!!
Brittany, don't know where you're from, but the state of NC is not the hellhole you make it out to be. It definitely has its problems.......and no, I wouldn't let my child go to Duke.
But to keep your son from even considering Wake Forest???!!! My daughter and son-in-law are both graduates.....
You are painting us all with a broad stroke........unfairly, I might add.
Where do you live? Is it a utopia?

But they moved to Maryland and California when I was a child. Once airline travel became common place, there was no need to drive through NC.
Come to think of it, guess I do live in an oasis. Good schools.Low crime. No race problems in our town.
