Someone named Rep. Mike Conway is telling everyone that is there how this bill is going to cost all of us American's real money in taxes.

He's now telling the speaker that he wants all of us to pick up the phones and call our reps and tell them to vote NO. on this bill.

Who wins?

GE Energy Financial Services and the AES Corporation formed Greenhouse Gas Services, LLC, a venture that invests in and develops projects that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and sells independently verified GHG credits to businesses that want to meet internal emissions reduction targets or to offset emissions from consumer products and services. These projects prevent or reduce greenhouse gases that would otherwise escape into the atmosphere, or reduce fossil fuel consumption through energy efficiency and renewable energy generation. For each metric ton of CO2 equivalent reduced or avoided, a certified credit is created.

GE who owns NBC, MSNBC, and CNBC. They along with Goldman Sacks stands to be a huge broker of Greenhouse Gas Credits.

You are watching Thievery right under your eyes. Al Gore may become the first GreenHouse Billionaire with his investments.

The fight moves to the Senate!

WHO WINS???? Nancy pelosi wins because of her investments in companies that this bill is supporting.

sorry, when I saw that 2454 passed the house, I went and watched the Yankees Mets game on TV. I have given up on congress, we are doomed. I might as well use what I have, before the government takes it away from me. After that I will flee this country and maybe go to Cuba. Now that Obama and congress, has changed all the rules, I can no longer stay in this country. We are becoming a socialist nation or a Marxist Nation. I would rather live in Cuba, which according to Michael Moore, has grest health insurance. Well at least the Yankees are beating the Mets 5 to 1 in the 8 inning. Perhaps I can watch that in Cuba? At least I won't have to pay for heat, for my home!!!

House passes major energy-climate bill
Friday, June 26, 2009 7:20 PM EDT

WASHINGTON (AP) — In a triumph for President Barack Obama, the Democratic-controlled House has narrowly passed sweeping legislation calling for the nation's first-ever limits on pollution linked to global warming. The bill also aims to usher in a new era of cleaner, yet more costly energy.

The vote was 219-212, capping months of negotiations and days of intense bargaining among Democrats. Republicans were overwhelmingly against the measure, saying it would cost jobs in the midst of a recession.

Obama implores Senate to pass climate bill
House narrowly OK’d first legislation meant to curb global warming gases

updated 11 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Hours after the House passed landmark legislation meant to curb greenhouse gas emissions and create an energy-efficient economy, President Barack Obama on Saturday urged senators to show courage and follow suit.

The sharply debated bill's fate is unclear in the Senate, and Obama used his weekly radio and Internet address to ratchet up pressure on the 100-seat chamber.

"My call to every senator, as well as to every American, is this," he said. "We cannot be afraid of the future. And we must not be prisoners of the past. Don't believe the misinformation out there that suggests there is somehow a contradiction between investing in clean energy and economic growth."

Disagreement over impact on consumers
Supporters and opponents agreed that the legislation would lead to higher energy costs. But they disagreed on the impact on consumers.

Democrats pointed to two reports — one from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office and the other from the Environmental Protection Agency — that suggested average increases would be limited after tax credits and rebates were taken into account. The CBO estimated the bill would cost an average household $175 a year, the EPA $80 to $110 a year. But Republicans and industry groups say the real figure would much higher.

Obama pressures Senate on climate change measure
Saturday, June 27, 2009 2:50 PM EDT

WASHINGTON (AP) — Hailing the House, President Barack Obama put pressure on senators Saturday to follow its lead and pass legislation to limit greenhouse gas emissions, helping usher the U.S. into a new age of energy efficiency.

"Now my call to every senator, as well as to every American, is this: We cannot be afraid of the future. And we must not be prisoners of the past," the president said in his weekly radio and Internet address. "Don't believe the misinformation out there that suggests there is somehow a contradiction between investing in clean energy and economic growth. It's just not true."

The legislation, which the House narrowly approved Friday night, would place the first national limits on emissions of greenhouse gases from major sources — such as power plants, factories and oil refineries — to reduce the gases linked to global climate change. It would also start moving the U.S. away from fossil fuels and toward cleaner power sources, such as geothermal, wind, solar and more nuclear generators.

The potential impact on people's daily lives is great. If the proposal, which faces an uncertain fate in the Senate, were to become law, it could make it more expensive for people to heat, cool and light their homes; mean more smaller, fuel efficient and hybrid electric cars; and create more "green" jobs, or environmentally friendly ones. Windmills and solar panels might replace smokestacks.

snip...

ADDED: 0bama and his followers can keep their change. :puk: :puk: :puk:
