What exactly does a SANE expert witness testify to in court? I would assume they are fact witness. "Yes, I did the pelvic" "Yes, I placed the materials in the box",etc. I doubt they are asked their opinion or conclusions of whether or not a rape occured or who did it.
I. obviously. have great respect for nurses but going to RN School does not a Doctor make. While nurses work hand in hand with the Docs, they are not equal partners.
Sherp, I finally agree with something you say. SANE nurses are not supposed to come to conclusions or make diagnoses.

Yet this is precisely what Levicy, the rookie SANE wannabe, did!

She was not qualified to make a diagnosis of "blunt force trauma."

She was not qualified to say that Crystal's exam was "consistent with a sexual assault."

She was not qualified to say that the exam was consistent with someone who had been raped vaginally and anally.

What Levicy told the police was 1) false and 2) beyond the scope of her practice.

(P.S. Do you happen to be familiar with a retired nurse who posted under the name "vegas?"
