Frank Lombard, associate director of the Health Inequalities Program at Duke’s Center for Health Policy, recently received funding for two research projects on services to patients with HIV/AIDS in this area: The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is providing nearly $2.5 million to fund CADET (the Carolina Alcohol and Drug Abuse Expansion Team); and the Health Resources and Services Administration has provided more than $1.5 million to develop a Regional Health Information Consortium (RHIC) in partnership with Wake Forest University Health Sciences. http://pubaffairs.duke.edu/reports/dec07.pdf He was also going to teach a class this fall!
