ATLANTA -- Jeff Teague only gets two chances to face Chris Paul each season, so he wants to make the most of his opportunities. Mark Bavaro Jersey . It took Teague much of the first quarter to find his momentum against Paul, a fellow Wake Forest point guard. Once he did, the Atlanta Hawks were making stops on defence and scoring in transition. Teague had 19 points and 11 assists, Zaza Pachulia added 19 points and 12 rebounds, and the Hawks won their fifth straight game with a 104-93 victory over Los Angeles on Saturday night. The trick was to keep All-Star Paul on the perimeter and limit how many times he drove the lane for an easy basket or assist. "I dont know how we did it," Teague said. "Hes a great player. We just made plays and played defence -- team defence -- and tried to live with those guys making jump shots." Blake Griffin scored 22 points and Paul had 19 for the Clippers. Los Angeles has lost a season-high three consecutive games after winning six in a row. Lou Williams finished with 18 points and Josh Smith added 17 for Atlanta. One night after managing season lows in points and field-goal percentage in an 86-76 loss at Brooklyn, the Clippers shot just 42.7 per cent from the field. They began the game with the NBAs third-best shooting percentage, but ended a four-game road trip with just one victory. "Its a terrible road trip for us, especially with all of them begin winnable games," Paul said. "I think what weve learned from it is that its not as easy as it looks. Thats where you build your identity at -- on the road." The Clippers twice closed within six before halftime, the second time coming on Griffins dunk at the 1:20 mark, but Los Angeles was all but run out of Philips Arena in the third. After Willie Greens layup cut the lead to eight in the first 2 minutes of the third, the Clippers were outscored 18-4. Smith had a big highlight, catching Pachulias long pass up the court and dribbling past Griffin for a left-handed dunk that made it 68-50. Pachulia followed with two baskets, a 16-footer from the left baseline and a putback that gave the Hawks a 22-point lead with 4:06 left in the third. "He was a warrior, he really was," Hawks coach Larry Drew said. "He was very physical tonight. Zaza doesnt have much lift around the basket, but he just throws that body all over the place and somehow gets the shot off. He was really good for us." Atlanta never trailed after Teague hit a 17-footer that made it 26-24 early in the second, and Los Angeles poor shooting played a big role in its demise. Williams 20-footer ended a 16-0 run in the second quarter and gave the Hawks a 37-24 lead. "We fought our way back, made it a little bit of a game," Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said. "At that point everythings got to go so perfect that it just puts too much pressure on you. Not a good performance overall for sure. The run that they made in the second quarter on our bench changed the tide." Teague, who improved to 2-3 against Paul, credited part of the victory with successfully defending the pick-and-roll and forcing Paul and Griffin to shoot more jump shots than they would like. Another goal was to challenge Paul and Griffin when the Hawks had the ball to wear down the Clippers two best offensive options. "Youve got to make those guys guard, too," Teague said. "If they can just play offence the whole game, theyre going to eat you alive, but if you go at them and make them guard, too, it will make them tired on the defensive end just as well." Notes: Hawks G Devin Harris missed the game with a sore big left toe. ... Saturday also marked the first time in Teagues three seasons that hes had consecutive double-doubles. He finished Fridays win at Charlotte with 13 points and 12 assists. ... Griffin was given a technical foul from the bench early in the fourth, only a couple of seconds after Clippers F Lamar Odum was called for his first personal foul. ... Atlantas bench outscored Los Angeles 20-0 in the first half. ... Clippers G Jamal Crawford added to his NBA career record with his 33rd four-point play, hitting a 3 and the ensuing free throw early in the fourth. Eli Manning Jersey . The former UNLV player had nine birdies, an eagle -- on the 341-yard, par-4 15th -- and a bogey in perfect conditions at TPC Summerlin to take a one-stroke lead in the Fall Series opener. Hakeem Nicks Jersey . -- Alfonzo Dennard watched himself on the video board as he raced 87 yards with an interception for a touchdown. http://www.shopnflgiantsgears.com/nike-lawrence-taylor-pink-jersey/ . Acknowledging it was now his move, Andrew Harris of the B.C. Lions went off for 121 yards from scrimmage – and two touchdowns – two weeks later against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to set the single season record for yards from scrimmage by a Canadian in the process. Eli Manning Womens Jersey . This time, Stephen Curry made sure history wouldnt repeat against another Western Conference opponent. He scored Golden States first 11 points, then hit 2 of 3 shots in the fourth quarter, including his fourth 3-pointer, to lead the Warriors over the Utah Jazz 94-83 on Wednesday night. Harry Carson Jersey . Great Britain had never stood atop the podium of a long distance Olympic race, but Farah has twice now in the past week, and on Saturday the 2011 world champion won G.B.s first medal in the 5000m since Munich 1972.LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Chris Capuanos scintillating start with the Los Angeles Dodgers has provided quite a boost for a rotation that needed some depth, an ingredient that was sorely missing last season. Capuano won his fourth straight outing and the Dodgers got home runs from Andre Ethier, Mark Ellis and Juan Uribe to beat the Colorado Rockies 7-3 Friday night and open a six-game lead in the NL West over San Francisco. "We expected that we were going to get a guy with a lot of different looks and a veteran guy who was going to give you innings and keep you in the game," Los Angeles manager Don Mattingly said. "Hes a tough guy to scout. Hes got so many different pitches, hes really hard to prepare for because you never quite know what youre going to get. Hes been great. Hes 5-0 and has given up hardly any runs. I cant say I expected that, but I always knew he had great stuff." Capuano equaled the best start of his eight-year career, allowing a run and four hits through seven innings with three strikeouts and no walks. The left-hander, who signed a two-year, $10 million contract as a free agent in December, retired 17 of 18 batters during one stretch before Michael Cuddyer hit a two-out solo homer in the seventh on Capuanos 101st pitch to end his scoreless streak at 24 2-3 innings. "I knew I had a little streak going there," Capuano said. "I was in a good spot there with two outs and an 0-2 count on Cuddyer, but I probably didnt make the best two-strike pitch I could have made there. I threw a little cutter trying to back-door him and it got over the middle." Capuano has a 1.46 ERA over his last six starts after giving up four runs in a no-decision on April 7. He also started 5-0 with Milwaukee in 2007, but went 0-10 with a 5.20 ERA over his final 18 starts that season and finished 5-12. Two of the losses were in relief. "Thats a long time ago. Its hard to remember back that far," said Capuano, who underwent Tommy John surgery in 2002 and again in 2008. "Its five years and Ive gone through so much since then — being away from baseball for two years. I was probably thinking the same things I am now: keep it small and focus on one pitch at a time. Im feeling as good physically as I ever have, so its a lot of fun to go out there and just worry about making pitches and not anything physical. Its good to be winning." Jamie Moyer (1-3) gave up five runs and seven hits over five innings and struck out seven. The 25-year veteran left-hander, who turns 50 in November, is winless in four startts with a 6. Michael Boley Jersey. 43 ERA since breaking former Dodger Jack Quinns record as the oldest pitcher to win a major league game. Moyer, who has given up more home runs than any pitcher in history, served up his 517th to the second batter he faced. Ellis drove a 3-2 pitch into the left-field bullpen for his first homer with the Dodgers, who didnt get another baserunner until Ethier doubled with two outs in the fourth and scored on Bobby Abreus single. "I faced Ellis a fair amount in the American League, but I hadnt faced him in a long time," Moyer said. "Based on the information off him tonight, I wish Id have pitched him the same way I did when I was in the American League. I made two mistakes and he hit the ball well." Los Angeles increased the margin to 5-0 in the fifth with a two-out, two-run double by Ellis and a run-scoring double by Ethier that followed an intentional walk to Kemp. "Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive, but not so aggressive on stuff thats falling off the edge of the plate," Ethier said. "Theres a lot of movement on some of the pitches hes throwing, so youre going to swing and miss sometimes. But youve got to keep taking your hacks and not be discouraged if youre swinging through some of those pitches or even strike out." Ethier and Uribe added solo homers in the seventh and eighth. Ethiers seventh of the season increased his NL-best RBI total to 32. The Rockies scored two runs in the ninth against Todd Coffey, who wasnt able to finish a mop-up inning and threw 23 pitches before Ronald Belisario got the final out. Moyer is 1-4 with a 6.37 ERA in eight career starts at Dodger Stadium. The first time he pitched here, in his fourth big league start, he didnt make it out of the first inning — retiring two of the eight batters he faced in the Chicago Cubs 11-4 loss to Orel Hershiser on July 10, 1986. NOTES: The longest streak of consecutive scoreless innings by a Dodgers pitcher last season was 19, by NL Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw and reliever Kenley Jansen. ... Abreus RBI was his first with the Dodgers, who signed him last Friday after the Angels cut him loose. ... Ellis hit six home runs for the Rockies in 70 games last year after spending his first eight-plus big league seasons with Oakland. He had a career-high 19 in 2007, the most by an Athletics second baseman. ... Dodgers leadoff hitter Dee Gordon, who wasnt even born when Moyer made his big league debut, was 0 for 3 against him with two strikeouts and a foul pop. ' ' '
