BALTIMORE -- Texas Rangers slugger Josh Hamilton will have to wait for another day to continue his assault on the Baltimore Orioles pitching staff. Golden Tate Black Jersey . Less than 24 hours after becoming the 16th player in major league history to hit four home runs in a game, Hamilton was received an unexpected break when rain postponed Wednesday nights game between the Rangers and Orioles. The game was delayed for more than an hour before officials decided on the postponement. It will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Thursday beginning at 4:05 p.m. The second game will not begin before 7:05, the starting time of Thursdays originally scheduled game. Moments before the announcement, several Texas players ran from the outfield and slid across the tarp. Hamilton was among them. "Youve got to keep the game fun," he said. "It reminds you of why you started playing as a little kid. When we were little kids we werent allowed to do that because youd get in trouble." Hamilton had no complaints about the rainout, mainly because he would have been hard-pressed to come up with an appropriate encore. "The expectations and everything, you cant do much better than that," he said. "Honestly, I hadnt been nervous for a game in a long time but I was a little nervous today. So maybe (the rainout) was a blessing in disguise." With Hamilton leading the way, Texas won the first two games of the series by a collective 24-6 score. Hamilton homered in his final at-bat Monday night before going 5 for 5 with four homers and a double on Tuesday in a 10-3 victory. The Rangers have won seven in a row over Baltimore. The rainout came at a good time for the Orioles, who could only hope Hamiltons bat would be cooled by the time off. Recalling the feeling he had at the plate in his record-setting game, Hamilton said Wednesday afternoon, "You know when youre seeing the ball well and really putting the good part of the bat on the ball. Thats what you feel. Everything kind of slowed down for me. You dont have to do much. Just put the barrel of the bat on the ball and it goes." The pitching matchup in Thursdays first game will be Wednesday nights starters: Texas right-hander Colby Lewis (3-1) against Wei-Yin Chen (2-0). In the nightcap, Derek Holland (2-2) of the Rangers will go up against Tommy Hunter, who will be recalled from Triple-A Norfolk after being sent down on Monday. Jason Hammel was slated to start Thursday for the Orioles, but hes been experiencing soreness in his right knee. Brandon Browner Jersey . Lowe won for the first time in more than a month as Cleveland pounded out 14 hits, including three-run homers by Michael Brantley and Casey Kotchman, to beat the Los Angeles Angels 12-3 Wednesday. Russell Wilson Elite Jersey .Y. -- Shanshan Feng set two personal goals this year on the LPGA Tour. http://www.nflseahawksteam.com/marshawn-lynch-jerseys . Mike Morreale was elected to the post Wednesday at the unions annual general meeting in Barbados. Marshawn Lynch Womens Jersey . But once the longtime kicker stepped inside Clevelands jubilant locker room there was no doubt. As players hugged in celebration, incoming owner Jimmy Haslam III beamed while shaking hands with many players who had never felt the joy of winning an NFL game. Earl Thomas Womens Jersey . A sixth-round draft pick in 2011, Sash had 17 tackles in 16 games for the Giants last season. He will be eligible to return to the Giants active roster on October 1 following the teams Week 4 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles.KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- Adam Scott wasnt going to let a few bad holes at the British Open ruin the best major performance of his life. He showed that Thursday with a 4-under 68 in the first round of the PGA Championship. Scott held a four-stroke lead over Ernie Els with four holes remaining last month at Royal Latham & St. Annes. But Scott closed with four straight bogeys to drop the tournament -- and the chance for his first major title -- by a stroke to Els. Scott was devastated, but chose to look at the positives. "I wasnt going to let a few bad holes spoil my good play," he said Thursday. That was obvious at The Ocean Course. Scott opened up with two birdies and bounced back from his only bogey on No. 4 with a birdie three holes later. He added two more birdies on the back nine and was in a group at 68, two strokes behind leader Carl Pettersson. Scott began his own personal bounce back from the British Open a week ago at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational. While he tied for 45th, Scott said he was able to get mentally ready for what faced him in his last chance at a breakthrough major triumph. "It was good to get out there and start switching the mind back on and concentrating and I did that a bit here and there last week," he said. "But good preparation for this week." Scott said he received countless texts, emails and calls of support after his runner-up finish at the British. He may not have won, but he continued a stellar season in the years biggest events. He tied for eighth at the Masters, tied for 15th at the U.S. Open and came a solid chip away from taking home the clarret jug. Steve Largent Womens Jersey. The 32-year-old Australian understands, though, if he doesnt contend here, it will be eight long months of questions until his next chance at the Masters in 2013. "If I dont, then Ill really feel like Ive let it all slip this year for me," Scott said. "So Id love to use this opportunity while Im playing well to get in there and have a sniff on Sunday." Scott might have an edge Friday morning with some of the milder conditions. Petterssons leading round came early, as did 13 of the 22 scores under 70 at The Ocean Course. Hes certainly gotten the backing of the galleries. Scott said fans have been especially supportive, both the situation of losing to Els in heart-breaking fashion and the classy way Scott handled defeat. "Obviously, I think all the golfers wouldve been watching the (British) Open," he said. "Its nice to hear that support. Its nice that they want to see me play well and I want to play well for them coming out and watching me." Like many competitors here, Scott hadnt played The Ocean Course -- home of the 1991 Ryder Cup matches -- before he came out to practice last week. Hed heard the horror stories of unplayable wind, unputtable greens and alligators chomping golf balls near the marshes surrounding the layout. "I didnt really know where I was going and it looked difficult," he said. But like many courses by architect Pete Dye, Scott said you can uncover ways to successfully navigate the holes. "Thats the point of coming down here," he said. "Certainly, the scoring is better than I imagined when I was here last Monday, Tuesday." ' ' '
