ST. Matt Hasselbeck Jersey . LOUIS - The St. Louis Rams have begun rebuilding their offensive line, signing free-agent guard Jacob Bell to a six-year contract. The six-foot-four, 295-pound Bell played for the Tennessee Titans the last four seasons after being a fourth-round draft pick in 2004. He has started 31 games the last two seasons, settling in at left guard last season. He has 46 career starts and played in 55 games in four seasons. The Rams finished the year with three offensive line starters on injured reserve, a major reason for the teams offensive struggles in a 3-13 season. The Rams totalled 263 points, the franchises lowest total since 1993, and quarterback Marc Bulger was sidelined twice for two games each with broken ribs and a concussion. St. Louis turned its attention to Bell after losing out in the bidding for former Steelers guard Alan Faneca, who got a US$40-million, five-year contract with the Jets. Bell, who turned 27 on Sunday, was signed after making a visit to St. Louis earlier in the day. "All along we liked two guys in the interior line in free agency and we got one of them," coach Scott Linehan said. "Jacob wanted to be here, he wanted to make the visit. He wanted to be with the Rams." Seven-time Pro Bowl tackle Orlando Pace was lost for the season with a torn labrum and torn rotator cuff sustained in the season opener, and Mark Setterstrom and Richie Incognito were sidelined with knee injuries. Setterstrom, a seventh-round pick in 2006, was the starting left guard before being injured. The position has been unsettled the last four seasons. Much of the season, the team filled in with retreads. A top backup, Todd Steussie, couldnt be plugged into the lineup until late in the season after breaking his foot in the preseason. Theres uncertainty surrounding Pace, who has finished the last two seasons on injured reserve. Thats where Bell fits in. "This is a tremendous athlete who plays well against great competition," Linehan said. He showed that against the best linemen in the AFC South. He should be a mainstay in our offensive line for several years." Chris Johnson Womens Jersey . The Ducks were most recently affiliated with the Syracuse Crunch from 2010-12. "We are excited to be affiliating with the Admirals in a great hockey market such as Norfolk, Virginia," said Ducks executive vice president/general manager Bob Murray. Jake Locker Jersey . He broke a 4-4 tie late in the third period Wednesday night at Staples Center and the Canucks went on to the 6-4 victory and evened the best-of-7 Western Conference Quarterfinal series at 2-2. After flying in from Buenos Aires, the 28-year-old striker was surrounded by police and photographers at Manchester Airport as he held one of his children. At Citys training ground, Tevez underwent medical tests to determine when he will be fit enough to return to the team he has not played for since Sept. PIESTANY, Slovakia -- Canada won again at the under-18 Ivan Hlinka Memorial hockey tournament, thanks in large part to its special teams. The Canadian squad scored three power-play goals and added another while short handed en route to a 7-5 victory over Sweden on Tuesday. Canada improved to 2-0 at the tournament after opening with a 4-1 win over Switzerland on Monday. "We had them both going well," said Canadian team coach Todd Gill. "Our penalty kill should be darn good because we used it enough. "Its frustrating for the kids because theyre not doing that much wrong. We took some penalties we have to control and get away from and were getting better. I thought we did a great job on our penalty kill and our power play got us going and you need those running at a high percentage to win this tournament." Canada has dominated this event, having won it the last four years and 16 times overall since 1991. Max Domi, the son of former NHL tough guy Tie Domi, led the way for Canada with two goals and two assists. Nathan MacKinnon, Morgan Klimchuk, Anthony Duclair, Curtis Lazar and Sam Reinhart had the other goals. "We had to execute and thats what we did," Domi said of the Canadian power play. "We moved the puck quick on the power play and our penalty kill was outstanding as well. "They worked their tail off." Canada started quickly against Sweden, leading 2-0 on goals by MacKinnon and Klimchuk less than two minutes after the opening faceoff. The Swedes, who outshot the Canadians 41-38, rallied to make it 2-2 before Duuclair countered on the power play at 16:31. Chris Johnson Jersey. Canada surged into a 5-2 lead early in the second on power-play goals by Lazar and Domi before the Swedes scored at 17:33 to make it a two-goal game. Reinharts short-handed goal at 1:19 of the third proved to be a big one for Canada as Sweden rallied to make it 6-5 afterwards before Domis goal with eight seconds remaining cemented the win for the Canadians. "The short-handed goal was huge and certainly looks big now because of what they did," said Gill, who coaches the OHLs Kingston Frontenacs. "Reinhart does a great job, hes just so smart. "Hes one of the smartest players Ive ever coached." Canada doesnt have time to relish the victory. The squad returns to the ice Wednesday against Slovakia, which lost 7-3 to Sweden in its tournament opener Monday, before having a day off Thursday. "Slovakia is a different team than Sweden," Gill said. "Their game against Sweden was tough to evaluate because Slovakia plays a patient game and sits back while Sweden is so good and so fast and passes the puck so well that if you give them time theyre going to pick you apart. "But we treat every team here like theyre the best in this tournament. We cant let up on anybody, we cant take shortcuts." Canada is in Group A with the Czech Republic, Finland and Slovakia. Russia, the U.S., Sweden and Switzerland make up Group B. The top two teams in each division advance to the semifinal round Friday. The two winners will square off in the tournament final Saturday.
