Hi, So when I look it up, the local interface definition appears to be quite similar to the definition of the default gateway of a given target network. Both are IPs of a router. Could someone explain the difference between the two? Whenever I look up both definitions they appear the same and I don't get very good results when looking for a thread somewhere where someone has asked for the difference. The default gateway is the IP address of the network one is currently on. The local interface of a network also appears to be the IP address of the router. I can't seem to understand the difference. Are they the same? Please help. I did not find the right solution from the internet.
