Hey all, just wanted to see if anyone is still out there. I got the email from Sorednax and wondered if anyone was playing '10 (and his cool-sounding storylines). I haven't bitten yet, and I'd almost rather hold out on the off-chance that they do a legends game with that kind of online CAW functionality, but we'll have to see I guess. Having a legends roster plus the ability to make storylines (maybe set some things up on the Funeral Parlor or the Barber Shop lol) would be amazing in itself.

Well, if they ever do that I hope everyone will come back here and point me towards their storylines. Take care everyone. -Mike

Hey Plex (or do you prefer Mike?)...good to hear from you!

Yeah, I got Sored's e-mail, too. Sounds like we're in the same boat - I haven't bought SVR '10 yet. The storyline feature sounds really cool, but that in itself doesn't give me a strong motivation to buy the game. Since I bought SVR '09 to fill out my LOWM movesets, I've started playing that alongside LOWM. I enjoyed it once I got used to the controls (which have both advantages and disadvantages over the LOWM controls), but playing as Cena, Orton, HHH and co. is definitely less fun than Hogan, Warrior and my other favourite Golden Age legends. For this reason, I'm content to carry on with '09 as an occasional alternative for LOWM for now...I don't feel the need to get another, similar SVR title at the moment.

And what of a LOWM sequel? I've still heard no rumours (has anyone else?), but I can't help thinking that the (almost) total absence of legends from '10 is a positive sign. After all, playing aged versions of Dusty Rhodes and Bob Orton is hardly a satisfactory fix for us old school fans, right?

Thanks for checking in buddy :)

Gareth

Hey Gareth, Mike will do just fine:)

Yeah, when I heard no legends in '10 it at least gave me some glimmer of hope. Of course it may just be that since they already had their own day in the sun this year THQ/Yuke took that as a way to slack off a little more with '10 (yeah I've still got my evil eye set on them even though LoW wasn't all bad by any means).

I know what you mean about SvR having some advantages. They are definitely different flavors, though I have soured a bit over time on LoW's QTEs and hope that if there is a sequel they'll sprinkle them in a bit more sparsely (even if just for the occasional off-the-ropes sequence or maybe a smattering here and there in the gimmick matches) instead of them being such an integral part of the game. I still think they are decent way to steer away from the excessive mashing of reversal buttons though.

To be quite honest, if they released even just a slightly improved legends game with the ability to download (individual) CALs I'd definitely go for it. Though I'm always willing to fine-tune movesets and other settings to get the game just right, I just don't have it in me anymore to sit there and make 30+ guys.

Anyway, here's hoping. Hope you're doing well and I'll be sure to check in again, especially if there's any exciting developments! -Mike
