I just want to say, now that I have had the game for 6 days now, I am absolutely loving it.

The majority of my first day was spent with CAL, seeing all the different people I could make, importing the SvR roster and creating move sets and entrances.

The next couple of days were spent playing the game. It was a dual process of learning the nuances of the LoWM controls while at the same time unlearning the SvR09 controls. Even now I still squeeze the left trigger to block occasionally.

Once I had the controls down it was a lot of fun. Even stripping the AI of its ability to counter and slowing down the reaction speed of the QTE I still find the game challenging.

Next I began online play and was lucky to buddy up with another member of this board and his friend. Rather than suffering the strike-spamming I have a small network of people who enjoy playing this game as a wrestling game, and not some game about points and achievements.

Now I am at the point where I am contemplating getting a memory card as an additional storage device so I can bring more CALs online.

Glad you're having lots of fun with it as well Sored. I adjusted to the controls pretty quickly and am still getting a feel for some of the finer points (like last night I finally got the timing for the running strikes where you HOLD the strike button...seems to work if you push and hold right as you're coming off the ropes FYI if anyone is still struggling with that).

I really like having the damage slider all the way down for longer matches. I didn't really mess with the other settings as things seem fairly well balanced as they are. I'll probably try jacking up the QTE difficulty, because I find it way too easy to reverse finishers.

But I do like the controls much better than SvR. Having quick and strong grapples (leaving you more vulernable to attack) makes a lot of sense if you ask me. And I don't think they should have as many moves as SvR considering it's a legends roster (also makes creating movesets a little less time-consuming!) If submissions were handled more like SvR and there was some vestige of limb damage I don't think SvR would have much on this. But I suppose each has its merits.

Ditto on the points and achievements stuff. I kind of like having most of that stuff out of the way and having everything unlocked. Though some of the Relive matches were pretty damn cool, and I could see myself going back to play some of them every now and then. Rewrite and Redefine are too generic, so unless you really enjoy the videogamey aspect of seeing if you can get all the objective points it's not all that enjoyable and I'd rather just put classic matches together in exhibition. The videos are pretty nice, though some of the unlockable ones only make you wonder why those matches weren't included in the mode.

But I can see myself enjoying this for quite a while. I really hope there's a patch or DLC soon to fix some things up and add content. I'd love to have more attires for all the roster and it's almost a crime for guys like Jake and Warrior to only have 1 attire.
