I wanna be booed!

This is only an assumption as I dont have LoW yet, but going off the SvR series I think its a safe bet. I want to be booed.

What is the point of a CAW when it asks me if I want my crowd reaction to be good or bad. As in am I a face or heel?

Yet when I do big moves or taunt my opponent, the audience sounds the same. I want to have clear and distinctive reactions from fans based on a characters allignment.

If I am a face, I want to hear rousing applause. I want to hear chants like "here we go hero here we go" (clap clap clap). I want to see a sea of my characters signs suddenly hoisted into the air when I do a taunt at level three or camera flashes going off like crazy as I pull off a finisher.

If I am a heel, I want to hear boo's. I want chant's of "you suck." I want to see fans in the front row give me the thumbs down sign when I taunt my opponent. I want to see drinks and popcorn thrown into the ring should I win. If I'm playing a heel I want to feel like a heel.

I could definitely see adding a simple option within CaW/CaL to decide on how the crowd reacts to certain moves/wrestlers and what exactly the crowd sounds like being a worthy addition. Just something as minor as how loud the crowd cheers for certain moves, I always wished I had some control over. Although in the grand scheme of things, it's a pretty minor detail in my book (only since I'd like seeing so many other improvements first). But it's a welcome option to incorperate nonetheless.

It's not just limited to CAWs but any character. Crowd reaction to heels should be significantly diferent in sight and sound to faces.

And yes, it is a minor thing, which is why it's important. It can get corrected easier and faster than some of the bigger issues.

Yeah crowed is huge in wrestling! They got to get that right, I have always wanted to be able to design my own signs for fans to hold, dont know if you can do that with svr 09. crowed should look good, they should boo if your heel, and cheer if your face, I want real crowed reaction, it makes the game more fun and I dont think its that hard to do at all. Fighting in the crowed is huge as well but that might be another subject.

In another thread I mentioned creating your own signs. Especially for heels. If I name my CAW Tony, I want to create a sign that says Tony Sucks!!!

I mean why would fans have signs for heels unless their ment to be derogatory? Of course there are always those fans that cheer the villain, but still.

And darn it, if I am a heel and I taunt when my meter is flashing, or I win by pinfall with my feet on the ropes, I want soda and popcorn thrown in the ring. Is that too much to ask?

And to answer your question, as to date, no SvR title allows to create a sign.

Fighting in the crowd is fun, but for the era in question, it hardly ever happened.

HAHAHA throwing popcorn at you, thats awesome, I love that idea! How about fans reaching out to pat their favorite wrestlers as they fight near them? Yeah your right the whole fighting in the crowed thing might be too much, I dont really need it.

OK, some of these ideas have been discussed elsewhere, but I think this thread is the best place to summarise them:

* Ability to choose crowd response for roster members as well as CAL's

* Greater variety of crowd response - instead of "good" or "bad", have "bad", "neutral", "good" and "great" (a huge pop for a mega babyface). "Bad" triggers shouted insults, "neutral" is well, neutral, "good" triggers name chants, "great" triggers louder and more frequent chants

* Show popcorn and soda thrown into the ring for "bad" wrestler victories

There's also been talk about having different crowd response to different moves during a match. Here, once again, I think there is potential to develop the 3 meter. Here's my suggestion:

* Gradual increase in crowd volume for each level (so level 3 moves and finishers get the biggest pops/boos)

I also propose:

* Taunts trigger crowd reaction (a brief cheer, chant, etc.)

* Specific crowd audio for weapon strikes, pin kickouts and avoiding a finisher (since these all ellicited distinctly different noises from the crowd)

As a general note...dammit, just make the crowd louder! In LOWM they are way, way too quiet.

Feedback?
