(Again I'm cheating since I haven't finished it, but still....)

Clary Fray always thought of herself as just being a normal girl, with normal interests and normal friends; she isn't overtly talented, she isn't overtly rich, and she definitely isn't overtly hot (as she herself put it, she's cute, never hot). But all her views on life start to change one day, where after coercing convencing her friend Simon to acompany her to a new club, Pandemonium, where she sees people ranging from normal (herself and Simon) to bizarre (everyone else of the ravers, goths and weirdoes), something suddenly catches her eye. Especifically how a cute boy is slayed by a group of tenagers, and turns out to be an apparent demon. Yet the teenagers, after all demon-slaying is done, seem to be confused; after all, Clary, a normal girl, a "mundane" as they call her (or as another one of them puts it in a less friendly term, "mundie") could see them when nobody else should be able to.

From then on, Clary's life starts to change, and after the disappearance of her mother and an attack by a demon, she finds herself dragged to experience the world with other eyes, those of the Shadowhunters, accompanying them now in their adventures as she tries to see what has been of her mother....

Overall it's no masterpiece, or no Hary Potter, but overall I'm liking this series; not loving it, not obsesing over it, just liking it. Prety good and some of their descrptions about entities are prety interesting.
