Codename: Spica, Virgo Impura, Regina-B 1 (standing for "Queen-White 1", in reference to her position and role in Signora del Giocco) Name: Real name unknown; normally uses the name Emmanuelle Yvonne Neige (Which is pretty obviously fake). Given certain clues, some theorize her name could be Iustitia or Justica/Justizia, but these theories remain unconfirmed. Age: At the very least, in her early 20s Zodiac Sign: Doesn’t apply given the fact that she wasn’t even born in this reality, but apparently would coincide with Virgo. Gender: Female Orientation: Seemingly asexual, nobody really knows (also, hates pretty much everything, so it’s not as if she harbored any feelings of any kind for anything that wasn’t hate) Ethnicity: Seemingly Caucasian of possible German-Nordic descent (though she possible isn’t even fully human to begin with, at least not by now). Place of Birth: Unknown, thought to be a different dimension/universe altogether. Eyes: Ruby red, normally alters perception to make them look icy blue instead so as to not attract much attention. Hair: Blonde, almost white Height: 6’ 3”, seems taller due to her heels. Weight: Deduce from height Physical Appearance: Extremely beautiful, beyond any doubt, she looks angelic to a degree and has the face of an Italian Madonna. Not exactly frail, but not very voluptuous, aside from her relatively notorious bust size and her hips. Mostly wears her uniform (a sort of cross between a dominatrix outfit and a nun outfit), though when out of it she wears mostly winter clothes in different shades of grey, white and black. Personality: Cold and harsh, hates pretty much everything she knows and everything she doesn’t know in equal measure. A perfectionist by nature, and a natural genius, if vain and self-centered most of the time. Cannot feel any sympathy or care about anyone but herself. For the only ones that she doesn’t show extreme unemotional response, she shows absolute, horrific hatred and disgust. The best form to describe her is as an ice queen. Voice: Soft and calm, though with a haughty, dominant air on it as well. Fitting for a dominatrix. Affiliations: Signora del Gioco (Leader of the Hexen, High Priestess and Sorceress, Second in Command, main supernatural advisor). Within the organization, she's also the leader of the Stellae Virginis, an special subset of the Hexen. Occupation: Sorceress/Witch, Priestess of the “Queen of the Heavens”, personal assistant and secretary of Giaccomo Salvatore. Quirks: Any minor annoyance will cause her to go literally ballistic and blast something with her spells until it stops annoying her. Likes: Unknown. Possibly nothing, except destruction, pain and leather. Dislikes: Unknown. Possibly everything. Weapons: Her usual weapon is a whip, called Azimech, used to command spirits and specially, her Lumiére Arista. The whip is able to also work to command and cast spells, by striking it in the ground while thinking of the intended effect. Her second weapon is a staff that vaguely resembles a pair of scales, called Alaraph, which she can use to direct her more powerful spells and greater magical powers. Powers/Abilities: Spica is a powerful witch and sorceress, though one with abilities far from the norm. Born in a world were there are far more inborn witches than this, she has an already surprising amount of control of the magics for her ages, to the point where she almost seems able to wield different branches of magic at the same time, something unable to be actually done (the almost is the key here: she just has enough magical abilities to reassemble reality to work as she wants it to, almost as if it was thaumathurgy but not quite the same). In order to cast her spells, she needs to speak in her birth language (or rather, sing on it), but has shown the ability to use simple normal songs and words in human and other languages to activate the spells, or even just crack her whip. •Absorption/Assimilation: Spica is able to absorb the magical essences and powers from others, through absorbing their soul and consuming it in a process similar to soul devouring. Just how she is able to do this is unknown given how traumatic and cruel such process is to the victim and devourer, and how only demons, unseelie fairies and similar entities are able to do it. Her powers are increased by it, along with her manipulation of the magics. She might also assimilate some other abilities that depend on training and knowledge or intellect in some other ways, through the same process, but doesn’t show it much. •Arista: Her Lumiére, Arista, is a manifestation of the entirety of her power. Arista appears every time Spica uses her highest-reaching power, either as a separate entity resembling a female, white haired angel clad in bondage gear, blindfold, gag, chains and ballet boots, possibly in reference to Spica’s similarly themed outfit (a cross of nun/priestess and dominatrix gear). Arista herself, when invoked, can use powerful blasts of magic and the same abilities as Spica herself can, and they’re known to be formidable when battling together. Limitations: Spica, despite her absurd, insane level of power, lacks the ability to actually absorb or replenish her powers by the normal means most sorcerers use: while she has access to great amounts of energy due to the incident (see history), said energy is rarely useful for her when casting spells, especially given the fact that it is pretty volatile and difficult to control; and she can’t absorb energy from the ambient, as while it is drawn to her and simply absorbed, she never has a substantial gain (basically, it disappears from her body just as it is absorbed); this process also has the drawback that it includes heat, and every place where she is starts becoming colder and colder the more she remains in there. As such, in order to use spells, she needs to absorb the energy from other life forms surrounding her: as long as it is alive, she can absorb its energy and use it, whether by just being near them (in which case the absorption is minimal) or through touch (in which case she can take substantial amounts of energy). Also, while her spells are extremely advanced and enable her to warp reality in ways most sorcerers would find impossible, she still isn’t anywhere near omnipotent, and most of her spells are centered simply in destruction without that many protective, healing, or supportive spells. She is comparatively good at protecting herself from other’s attacks, redirecting and the like, but actual protection of others, healing of others and similar is very limited in comparison to her destructive potential, possibly relating to her own personality (which admittedly is more destructive than anything else). Also, for some reason, she seems to have a harder time using any spell that is not based on ice or cold and light: all other elements or alignments are very rarely used, if at all. •Absorption/Assimilation: Spica’s ability to absorb other’s souls and energies is severely limited in comparison to actual demons, taking a far longer time to fully devour and consume/assimilate the soul in case of actually fully taking the entire soul within her own. Even just taking a substantial amount of the soul of someone can lead to slight problems assimilating the energy, and slight characteristics of the person might appear or bother her mentally afterwards for some time. Also, while she might gain new abilities through the process, it afterwards means she will need to absorb more energy than the standard before to fully replenish, and she will loose all abilities she doesn’t use on a regular basis in any way. Also, her assimilating of other’s abilities doesn’t mean she actually gets to use them: those that depend on physical ability can’t be used due to her basic lack of physical abilities of most ways, and those relying on intellect •Arista: When manifesting, Arista takes half of the energy Spica has at the moment as a way to use her own powers, and she can’t manifest for more than 3 minute, and the time decreases the more power she uses. Also, Arista and Spica can accidentally hurt each other, and if Arista is attacked, this will incapacitate Spica for an amount of time ranging from 5 minutes to a few hours, depending on the strength of the attack. Also, all psychic attacks directed at Arista are redirected directly against Spica. •Physical: Spica is VERY untrained and weak physically, which not only means that she can’t actually attack physically, but also that if her magical powers were cancelled in some way (using a magic dampener, for example), she would have no means whatsoever to defend herself. •Others: Her powers, despite their level, can be countered by other sorcerers of different levels. Also, her energy can be absorbed by others, or dispelled from her with spells and the like. Family: Never speaks of them; the only one she ever mentions is her sister, and her common name for her is “Filthy harlot”, so they’re not in a quite easy relationship. Aspiration/Goals: To seize the power of the Isis Urania, but her reasons to do it are selfish when compared to everyone else's. History/Background: Despite her power and importance within the organization, the previous life led by the one known now as Spica is relatively unknown. Most think she’s just an overachieving, overskilled apprentice of magic, who graduated from one of the hermetic schools; some others theorize she might be a beautiful angel cast down from Heaven and who seeks revenge on the ones who spurned her; a third faction even saying she’s the avatar of some primeval Goddess or force who has come to this world to release an entity of equal power. But those who know the real story, know that the truth, while not as fantastic as the fantasy, might as well be crueler… Born in a world were control of the magical forces was a far more common trait among entities than it is in Earth, in an universe where Earth and this solar system don’t exist altogether, Spica was born in a poor family, yet one with strong magical potential: some said it was merely the result of genetics or ancestry, some others said it was a gift from their ruling Gods. Whatever the case, Spica had always demonstrated an extreme control of the magical forces of her world, even before being formally trained and taught the secrets for actual control of it. During her lifetime, she trained in diverse forms of magic, studying as much as possible from all possible branches, combining what aspects could be used. Despite this, though, she was at the time only an user of white magic, and despite her attempts, she never could combine aspects from other magics. She became a respected and powerful high priestess of their main Goddess, a celestial queen who ruled over all other deities, and was said to be so sacred and pure that no one could dare to see her directly, lest their eyes be burned by her perfection. At least, these was true for most… except for the younger generations, and for those who considered the established religion as only a lie, and the will of the Goddess being present everywhere instead than just among what the priests said. Among those were Spica’s family, and specially her sister (whom she has called both “Themis” and, alternatively, “Filthy harlot”), with whom she lead an specially bad relationship; yet nothing seemed to be so bad during that time… at least until the king died, and his daughter, the queen, decided to destitute the priests and establish the same mindset Spica’s family held. Spica, furious and feeling betrayed at her loss of her position, also saw how everyone now held her own sister and rival in greater esteem, both because of her cheery, lively personality and because of her seemingly greater power. That was the last nail in the coffin. In her fury, Spica ran away from the kingdom, looking for ways to avenge her loss in the hands of the queen and her sister, or at least a place to exist and regain her position. Yet everywhere she went, everyone was the same now, everyone with the same beliefs, with the same… peace. Finding no place to go, to be what she once was, to gain what she wanted, she found that her world had lost everything it could offer to her that she wanted, and in her misery she decided to take revenge on the world that had done that damage to her. To do so, she searched for all the knowledge she could, all the legends about the entities in her world and from those that didn’t even exist in it, and found it… one in which it was said how, at the same time her world was born, a dangerous entity from beyond the primeval voids from which the Gods made the world arise, had been defeated and sealed away in a prison made from the same void, so as to stop it from destroying and consuming the newly born world. She searched all that she could and found all that she could about it, preparing to release the forsaken entity in the world. Yet as she did, she saw how her own body and soul were consumed and adopted y it, for it needed a vessel: and in that form, it ushered chaos and destruction, until the body was eventually killed by Themis, Spica’s sister, who seemingly sacrificed herself to stop it. Yet as the body died, and as Themis couldn’t stop it, the entity resurrected Spica and left her in the wrecked, almost dead world, her powers increased significantly, and her essence changed… she was banished from the world, and decided to direct to different worlds, learning about their existence and taking whatever knowledge and power she could, discovering that now she could devour the knowledge and power of others, just through the same method as demons: devouring their souls. After what were maybe decades or centuries in human time, she reached this world, and throughout the years has gotten herself a place in the high society through different means, regaining in some form a sort of status and importance, and using her time to try and find whatever she could take from this world… until she discovered the legends about the Isis Urania. By subtly manipulating the events, she managed to reach different individuals that, throughout their lives, were seeking for the Isis Urania, and along with them she formed, in recent years, the organization of Signora del Gioco, becoming their first actual agent. Song: Undecided, between “Damned and Divine” by Tarja Turunen, “Ice Queen” by Within Temptation and “Angélique” by Theater of Tragedy. Also, possibly, “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga (just for the rhythm, which I associated with Spica… and possibly also for my current liking of it). Edited by Prince Blanche, Aug 17 2009, 10:47 PM.
