Nobody knows what the Benefactors are, nobody is even sure they exist in the proper sense of the word that we understand. few people actually regard them as a true species, but for the sake of identification, we will place the list and description in the section for Species for the time being. These entities come from other worlds, or at least from different divisions of the same, very large world (it apparently spawns the space of a big multiverse, maybe even more). These beings are apparently born out of the unused amounts of magical and godly energy sometimes made, that has formed their world, and most of them tend to live whimsical, hedonistic lives. Some of them, though, put the balance of the different worlds in danger, and in such cases is when some of the Benefactors decide to become Agents of Order, by fusing with another being and forming one single entity with them, with the personality of the Benefactor residing within the being but being expressed through an important belonging of the person, modified for convenience. Despite that, not all Benefactors form such fusions with other beings to protect the balance: others just do it for merely amusing themselves, or to battle. Generally, all Benefactors can be recognized by their powers and the color of their particular aura or "Halo of Flames". Each one of them possesses a different color and differing, though in some cases rather similar, powers. Also, when fusing with another being and forming an Agent, the new Agent gains a power specifically derived from those of the Benefactor. While they are considered to be God-like, few of them actually consider themselves deities, and all of them merely live by their whims. There are a few beings who are considered Gods of their world by their peers, as they embody the very laws of such world, but they aren't revered and it is unknown whether or not the idea of them as Gods has any resemblance from te idea of a God held by mortal races. See the entry for "Agents of Order" for other details. |
