went to watch the second half of Ashby v Thurmastone on saturday afternoon and noticed a few familiar faces in the thurmastone side. Who ever said they were not paying big money this season is very wrong indeed. On looking on the pitch there were the usual suspects of sean bowles from quorn, james, craig noble, Lee connorly, nikki finney, sam mcmohan, dan gallacher and a few other lads from a higher level. On looking at the squad sheets on the back of the programme thurmastone had also named tony thorpe once of bristol city and luton along with Julian Joachim. How the mighty fall.
Either way thurmastone won 5-0 but to be honest didnt look as strong as the anstey side last year believe it or not. Both teams went down to 10 men with the referee spoiling the game a little with his cards coming out every 5 minutes, dont know if he was bein assesed or not. Though Ashby were thumped 5-0 i still think they will be there of there abouts the top 3 at the end of the season. I may take a return trip to Ashby on Tuesday as the have Blaby and whetstone which should be a good one

The LSL defered making a decision until thier October meeting.

This is a very serious issue.

They have played an unregistered player and it should be an automatic 3 points deduction in accordance with FA rules.

It happened to a Blue Square side last season I beleive. Or was it a League 2 side?

Ctisso - did you report this player infringement?

anyone know the news on what the punishment is?

Replay? Points deduction, or just a slap on the wrist with a paltry fine?
