Sileby town promoted with out lights given a '12 month grace' to get lights in place went to a vote was either Sileby or the lanes reserves to be promoted......stapenhill confirmed back in the prem wich is a bit harsh as they have just reformed (personly think they should have started back in div 1!!!) four more teams added to snr 1 with the suprise inclusion of kirbys reserves from the combination (fair enough after doing the double of lge and jnr cup ) but every body was told that there would be no promotion from the combination this season but if its good for the lane and coalvile (reformed 09/10) then why not kirby. Thurnby now also called nirvana rather than rangers will be a dark horse for title with one of the teams wich should have been relegated thurmaston (depending on a certain somebody! :-) ) also blaby with Lee hariman in charge ,stapenhill and of course ashby but my money on nirvana for prem (sleeping giant) and barlstone or desford for div1 All in all looks a better league(s) on paper but some still very poor sides and clubs..... hopefully in future we will start to have promotions and relegation down to football reasons rather than grounds and status. |

Bit of inconsistency here i feel, Stapenhill obviously being put in Prem because of Lights, but surely if sileby given a years grace then the season will be over, have Lutt Athletics lights gone up yet. The League needs to realise it is Step 7 and therefore lights are not a requirement, great if they have them and with our weather will enable teams to catch up on games if needed, Promotion/Relegation is a part of football and is what adds a bit of spice to the game. Surprised to see asfordby have not taken relegation as It would probably have done morale a world of good by winning a few, maybe they have new players coming in. Any news on where Mr Deeley going yet!!!!!!!!!!! |

I think some clarification may be needed on a couple of points. Firstly Stapenhill re-formed and as FA rules state can re-join 2 levels below from the league they left, MFA level 5 and LSL Prem Level 7, nothing to do with lights. My understanding is they only folded due to club house being burned down, not through choice. Lutterworth Athletic:_ work is in progress as we speak and will be up and working before the start of the season Also no promotion from the combination league does not exsist, teams need to stand down and then voted in to LSL division One,and as with Coalville if newly formed how can they have been promoted from anywhere????? and The Lane have come from the Midland Combination Reserve Division. On a lighter note, rumour has it Stu Deeley is taking a year out!!!??? |
