I have heard Anstey Towns Landlord is allegedly set to triple the rent on the ground, leaving the club no choice but to fold. Can anyone shed any light on this.

Apparently rumors are that Stu Dealey will be leaving the Nomads to take over at Oadby Town and obviously taking all the players with him and that Anstey Town have already been asked to go to the Nomads and take over there, so what you've heard Nigel may be accurate.

There has been talk of Thurmaston doing that for years, can't see it happening for next season though. The rumor I've heard is that Dean Ayres the old ressie manager down there and old Thurmaston PWMC sunday side manager, is taking over Thurmaston along with Troy Buccalossi from the Nomads.

Not sure about the Stu Dealy and Oadby Town link, think at the minute one man is controlling the show and there wouldn'tbe room for him there, besides i understand that there will be no change to the 1st team manager,so i'm not sure how that would work??!!
I have heard the same rumour about Thurmaston moving ground to behind Asda and the rent going up at Anstey, i'm sure it will all come out soon, now the closed season is upon us.

They're not leaving because of lack of funds, from what I gather as was said earlier the owner of the ground wanted to double the rent in return Anstey wanted fixed rate lease for a substantial period, which initially the lanlord agreed to if they'd foot all the lawyers bills, which they then did at the cost in the region of £1000, now for a club of its size thats alot of money but they managed to get the money together and had all the papers made up, only for the landlod to change his mind at the 11th hour and request other pieces of small print which Anstey wouldn't agree to, so the Landlord pulled out of the deal and requested the keys to the club be handed over by the end of May, leaving the club £1000 out of pocket, which was required to be paid back whom they'd loaned it off

Luckily for Anstey the hold a very well organised 5 a side competition every year and with luck the weather was good to them and I believe they just about managed to cover their expenses that were owed

I also know that the FA were looking into the possibility for them to ground share or purchase a new piece of land but unfortunately this hasn't materialised (and please don't ask why they can't share with the Nomads, sore subject so I believe)

So it seems one of the best family clubs I've ever played for will no longer be

Although I'm sure it'll not be long till Rob Harris is asked to fill a position somewhere as there is a great manager that has done plenty with no budget whats so ever

Not having enough money , lack of funds all the same. Sad to see them go.
Rumour Rob Harris is joining Nomads in some capacity - not management.
