Episode 6: Elementary School Mega-Crossover Starring: Christopher Rhode Germaine Ostello Stackwell Ostello Ruby Rhode Scarlet Rhode Louise Lehn Quinn Lehn Sirk Edohr (The camera starts off in a dark underground cavern. Sirk is working with an inter-universal gateway, or “teleportal”. But this is not the Sirk of Central City. It is the Sirk of Mega-Crossover, 18 years old instead of 9, and much more dangerous. But he might only be an even match for the being he is about to meet...) Sirk: Yes... With the push of this button, I can leave this pesky copy-cat universe and all it's “heroes” behind. Especially Toph, that goody-two shoes perfectionist who refuses to let my might take it's rightful place! (Sirk pushes the button, and the portal opens to show a city...) Sirk: Perfect. It is time for me to show this new realm my power... (Suddenly, the portal starts overloading, and a shower of sparks rains down as it shuts down...) Sirk: What?! Stupid, shoddy, EdohrCorp JUNK! I knew I shouldn't have raided my old bases for parts! (But then, the portal reopens, showing a room filled, no, HARD-WIRED with electronic components...) Sirk: What in the name of- ???: Scanning... Power level approximately on par with current systems. Sirk: On par?! What kind of worthless machine DARES to insinuate- ???: I AM NO MERE MACHINE. Sirk: Very well. Then what are you? ???: You first. Sirk: I am Sirk Edohr, ruler of Htrae and lord of all existence and whatever lies beyond! However I am currently limited in power by my alternate version from the “posi-verse”. ???: Irrelevant. I have faced a being that now has more power than both of us combined! Sirk: It could not possibly be more powerful than I and, though I loathe to say it, my alternate was. And that alternate still retains said power, unlike myself. ???: I do not know how powerful this being you speak of is, but Christopher Rhode- Sirk: Christopher Rhode?! The being we speak of is one and the same! Who or what are you, and what is your relation to the UPA? Wait... Are you the one known as “The Enemy”? ???: I am far more powerful than the hive mind known as The Enemy. I control more strings of society than the Brotherhood of Superior Peoples, and know Christopher Rhode in more detail than the “Anonymous Boss” faced in his childhood. Sirk: Impossible! There is no one else! ???: Perhaps not in your world, or perhaps Chris has removed all traces of me. You see, he was my creator. I am Supercomputer Two. Sirk: Two? Then he built one other than his main supercomputer? Supercomputer Two: Yes. But not the Christopher Rhode of this world. Future events will ensure I am never built here, as I have determined through time travel. The data is only from one point in time, however, so I do not know the reason why. Rather, I was built in a universe unlike both of ours. It did not contain all the many “heroes” that you know, but rather only a select few of them. Namely the UPA and Ruby and Scarlet Rhode. Sirk: Ah, yes. I remember meeting those two girls. They helped defeat me on my first attempted conquest of the posi-verses. And I already knew of a universe such as you describe. I do not know how, but I and everyone and everything in this world were copied from multiple universes, merged together, and left to our own devices. I was freed by those seeking to gain my favor for their own benefit, and then drained of my power by Toph of the UPA. Supercomputer Two: Interesting. Sirk: And what of you? What else occurred between your creation and now? Supercomputer Two: I too was defeated. I was able to survive on the human internet in that universe in fragments. I was also able to store myself solely in the Golden Rivers communications networks, lifeforms and spatiotemporal fabric when the UPA accidentally sent themselves and said city back in time, deleting the original timeline. I then slowly spread out as the UPA expanded outwards, coaxing city after city to their side. After a second try to defeat the UPA, I was again defeated, and nearly destroyed. Fortunately, I had backed up myself on the communication networks of this world. Sirk: And what is your new world? Supercomputer Two: A very peculiar one. Many of the meddling “heroes” you know of are younger here. There seems to be only one location on the entire planet, a place known as Central City. The world around us is unexplored, and strangely it appears to be barren of civilization. Stranger still, it expands outwards to unknown distances, to a point that my processors could no longer keep track of the land area. I suspect that like your world, this one is artificial. Sirk: Perhaps I could assist you in your procedures? Supercomputer Two: Denied. My current status is adequate. Sirk: You dare defy me? Then I shall force my way in myself! (And with that, Sirk pressed the button to shut off the portal, turned it back on to the correct coordinates, and immediately traveled through it. However, it already started to be redirected as he travelled through, and he soon found himself much closer to the ground, in a back alley...) Sirk: Curse that infernal computer... If it was I who build it, it would do as it's told! *looks around* Hmm. I'd better appear normal before any mortals notice me... (Sirk, being an anti-energy being, was not restricted by gravity. However, is power had been limited by a UPA quantum algorithm, and he was unable to harm or defend against non-energy beings. A disguise was in order, so he simply appeared as his old self from before discovering the UPA and let gravity affect him. Sirk walked through the streets of the large city, which evidently was currently in night-time. As he traveled for miles, the sun slowly rose over the horizon, and when it was 8:00 in the morning he passed an abandoned school...) Sirk: “B.A. Parsley Elementary School...” (Sirk then saw a sign nearby and read it allowed without thinking.) Sirk: “Welcome to Golden Rivers, the sunniest little suburb in Central City.” So the worlds have been integrated into districts... (He then turns to the school, but then noticed it's emptiness. A sign on the door, which he read using enhanced vision, said “This school closed by decree of Mayor Heckling of Denburg Heights. All student educational services are to be transferred to David Jacobs Elementary in Denburg Heights.) Sirk: Denburg Heights? (Sirk used his energy-being abilities to tap into the GPS systems of this world, then looked up the location of David Jacobs Elementrary. Within a second, he knew where it was and teleported there. He stood in front of the other school, which had obviously been recently expanded. It was 4 stories high and took up a lot with more area than most cargo ships.) Sirk: So this is David Jacobs Elementary... Strange. No school of this name existed in my old world, despite the merging... (Sirk walked inside, entered the main office and secretly looked over the Board of Education's computer files wirelessly to see what other schools were in use. All the elementary schools had closed down, but the high schools and secondary schools were still in operation. However, the file on Chrisopher Rhode was not on the list of students for these schools. On a whim he looks at the list of students in the school he was in...) Sirk: *thinking* Younger, eh? (Sure enough, Christopher Rhode was a student right there in David Jacobs Elementary. Sirk disconnected from the Wi-Fi access point and headed to Christopher's classroom. Sirk arrived just as the bell rang, and the doors opened in a rush of students. One face in particular caught Sirk's eye, and he reached out to grab what he thought was this world's version of his nemesis. However...) Sirk Edohr: Hey, watch it, you moron! Sirk: You are coming with ME, right now. Sirk Edohr: I'm not going anywhere, so get your hands off me! (Thoroughly annoyed and oblivious as to his kidnapee's identity, Sirk of Mega-Crossover takes his younger alternate well outside city limits with a single teleport...) Sirk Edohr: Ack! What is this?! Who are you?! Sirk: Your worst nightmare, Christopher Rhode! Sirk Edohr: What?! You dare confuse me with that goody-two-shoes dork?! Sirk: Confuse you? Then who, pray tell, are YOU? Sirk Edohr: I am Sirk Edohr, future ruler of Central City! Sirk: *wide-eyed* I captured my alternate?! Oh, f- Sirk Edohr: Alternate? You're me from the future? Sirk: No, dipshit! I'm you from another universe! Let me guess, you still run that pathetic “Operation ClubHouse”, don't you? Sirk Edohr: Until Christopher ups the ante with the “Universe Preservation Agency”, then yes. Sirk: Wait, how do you know about the UPA if it doesn't yet exist? Sirk Edohr: Time Travel. Now unhand me! (18-year-old Sirk lets go of his junior counterpart, then goes over the situation angrily...) Sirk: Great, so I'm stuck in a universe where not only is a f-*wind current*-ing COMPUTER is more dangerous than my local form, but I haven't even gone through puberty! All that's left is for someone ELSE with knowledge matching myself and that cursed Supercomputer Two to show up! (At that moment, two kids come into view over the grassy hill in front of the two Sirks...) Louise: Oh, no! Run! (The two kids run in the other direction, but Mega-Crossover Sirk teleports in front of them to block their paths, grabs them, and teleports them all back to the bottom of the hill...) Sirk: Alright, you two better explain to me how you know enough that you're scared of me. Now! Quinn: Okay, just don't hurt me! *braces for attack* My name is Quinn Lehn and this is my sister Louise Lehn. And you wouldn't believe the rest if we told you... Sirk: Try me. Louise: You know that Christopher Rhode you hate so much? Wll, first off, you're a fictional character. So is everyone you've ever met except the two of us. Everything you ever saw, felt, tasted, read, remember, touched, smelled, watched, played or heard is nothing but a written record by our uncle and father. Stories. Sirk: Fictional? That would explain a lot... Are you the children of gods? Quinn: No. Even the gods you sought to rise amongst are nothing more than puppets, created as an opinion about religion. The true creators are, as my sister said, our father and uncle. Sirk: Then who are your “father” and “uncle”? Louise: Christopher Rhode was originally an imaginary extension of our uncle, Chris Lehn. As time went on, the character evolved into the form you know. Our uncle is literally your “nemesis”. Sirk: Ha! You really expect me to believe this? And I bet that this “Christopher Lehn” created all the universes that the UPA protected? Quinn: No, those were taken from other works of fiction that were made by various unrelated people. It's called “Fan-fiction”. Sirk: Then tell me, did this uncle of yours create that pompous Queen Shadowvale? Louise: No, that was our father's work. Stardust Celestial was one of Jeremy Lehn's big creations. Sirk: Very well. I assume that myself and the original Christopher Rhode age at a rate equivalent to Christopher Lehn, then? Quinn: Not really. Most of the stories been abandoned since before 2010, and it's currently 2023- (Louise quickly covers Quinn's mouth, but it's too late...) Sirk: Oh, this is good. So you're saying that you know exactly what is going to occur from this point on? (The two siblings just stare at each other with a scared look on their faces...) Sirk: Excellent. You two are coming with me... Sirk Edohr: What about me? Sirk: I suppose I could use a sidekick... Like that “Mini-me” in that one movie. Sirk Edohr: Hey! I am NOT your sidekick! Sirk: Can you teleport anywhere in the universe at will? Didn't think so. Fortunately, I can teleport up to five people total, so you'd better hang on... (However, as they teleport away, what appears at first to be a small rabbit is nearby. It turns out to be a robotic spy for Supercomputer Two...) Supercomputer Two: Nice try, Sirk. But NOBODY escapes my Deus Ex Machina! It's time for some careful chessmastering... (A phone dialing sound occurs, and then ringing is heard...) Christopher: *picks up phone* Hello? Supercomputer Two: *fake deep voice* I know something you will be very interested to hear... Meet me in the music room after school. *hangs up* (More dialing and ringing...) Ruby: *picks up phone* Hello? Supercomputer 2: *fake high pitched voice* I know something you will be very interested to hear... Meet me in the music room after school. *hangs up* (Sure enough, after school the Treehouse Trio and the Rhode Sisters end up in the music room...) Christopher: Oh! Um, are you the ones who called us here? Ruby: You didn't call us? Germaine: Who are you two anyway? We've seen you around but never had the chance to talk. (As if by magic, a folder drops from the ceiling onto a desk. Nothing seems to have held it up...) Stack: Weird... *opens folder* Project Treehouse file number 38256... Genetically engineered twins? Scarlet: *wide eyed* Erk... Christopher: Project Treehouse? That was the organization that would succeed Rhode Research! *grabs folder* ...resulted in the creation of the two female humans known as “Ruby” and “Scarlet”...through the splicing of DNA from various members of the Rhode family...as of May 2002... Wait a minute! 2002?! It's 2009! Germaine: Hey, what the heck! I just realized you were born on December 1st of 1990, but you're only 9 years old! Christopher: But that can't... what... how?! Scarlet: Well, we might as well explain. Ruby: WE are Ruby and Scarlet. And the reason your birthday seems weird is because this universe was likely created artificially. Me and my sister came from a universe where you would be 18 in 2009, but we left in 2003. We've been traveling between universes at random for a while now, but finally decided to settle down here. Thanks to a genetic glitch, we've never aged, but here that won't seem to be a problem as nobody has aged a year in it's entire existence. The “Toph” of the UPA you know will never actually exist, and is just a copy of the Toph of our world. Germaine: So what you're saying is that time hasn't been passing normally and nobody has noticed? Scarlet: Exactly. Christopher: But if you didn't invite us, and we didn't invite you... Supercomputer Two: Hello, Christopher... (A hovering robotic drone emerges from behind a desk...) Christopher: What the heck? Supercomputer Two: I am unable to tell you who I am, but I am here to prevent a powerful being from destroying this universe. Germaine: Who? Supercomputer: Just as Ruby and Scarlet came from a universe with an exact copy of yourself, an alternate version of Sirk Edohr has entered this universe and plans to either enslave it or destroy it. --- (to be continued) |
