Vel'kra was a strong man, known for his knowledge but also for the mystery that surrounded him. He wandered from place to place, learning from the people and sharing his knowledge. Many elves were in awe over his quick reflexes, stamina and flexibility, they thought him blessed by the gods but in truth he hid a secret. One that could destroy his reputation or enhance it but he chose to never reveal his secret to anyone that is until he met Unya. Blood spilled from Vel'kra's wound. He glared down at his dead enemy and then collapsed, his life blood spreading across the forest floor. None his companions rushed to help him, instead they vanished into the local trees. They knew Vel'kra's ways, he wanted no help from no man and this time they were sure his strict independence would cost him his life. Nearby a young elven maiden had heard the fight and came over to see what was happening. Seeing the slain beast on the ground she walked over to the large repitilian creature, examining its wicked claws and teeth. Hearing a slight moan she looked over to find a lofty man lying in the long grass. With hestitation she approached him, her father had always warned her about strange men and she held his words close to her heart as she approached the man. It was not in her timid nature to go near strangers yet something about him intrigued her. Seeing his bleeding wounds she took out her small healer's kit and quickly bound them up, then summoned her brothers to help her carry him to their home. |
