~General Rules~
Yes, every forum has ‘em, so just suck it up and deal. Read these and obey them. We will not tolerate disrespect to our rules or members. We also reserve the right to change or add to these as time goes on. Nothing is set in stone, but these are pretty damn close.

-No flaming other members. If you have something to say that isn’t constructive in anyway, we really don’t want to hear about it. You can give constructive criticism until you’re blue in the face and we won’t care much, just don’t cross the line. If we find that you’ve been harassing other members through pm, we will ban you on the spot. We aren’t kidding around about this. Role plays are meant to be fun.

-No Trolling

-Please register with any name you ever so desire as long as it is not deemed offensive.

-No god-moding. Your character is not all powerful. People bleed! Your character will bleed, get bruised, have his/her ego trampled on, face horrendously bad days, and maybe even wonder why people go on living life. It’s a fact we all have to deal with. Your characters are included in this. People also get hit, even the greatest of martial arts masters, or street fighting gang leaders, get hit. It hurts, yes, but it’s a fact of life. You can’t dodge every time, and neither can your character. People also miss a punch every so often, and sometimes powers just don’t work on other people.
We do not want to see any of this:
“Phillip punched Gilbert in the face and broke his nose.” is bad, a no-no. You no do this! ^-^
We love this, though:
“Phillip threw a hard right hook, with enough strength to shatter Gilbert’s nose.” YAY! We luv you!

-No Bunnying. Taking control of someone's character is bad. I do not want you to tell me that Enzy's Seth is following your character down the stairs. Hell, your character would be stupid to let Seth follow her/him down the stairs and think s/he will get down that flight okay. Seth will gladly push your ass down the stairs, even if you happen to be her current lover. You cannot say a character that isn’t yours is doing something without getting permission from the owner of the character first; it’s annoying, rude, and against our rules.

-You cannot be any Deity or god-like being that is in the current state of power as a god would be. Our character's powers range quite dramatically, please try to make your character's abilities logical. I don't want someone to have the telepathic power to speak to non-living objects, because they aren't alive.

-Your posts need to be at least a paragraph. A paragraph is five to eight sentences. It’s not that hard to do. If you make grammar mistakes we’re fine with that, as long as people can understand what you’re trying to do/say. If they can’t, just hit the edit button and fix it up really fast.

-You CAN kill characters without their permission. If they decided to mess with your character, and they lacked the ability to defend themselves, that's their own damn fault. Sucks to be them. They really should know better. Kill'em any which way you desire, poke a stake through their heart, shoot'em with a silver bullet, tickle'em to death, torture'em to death.

-If you see a thread you would like to join, join it! That’s kinda why you came here, right? Unless a thread is reserved for a specific character you are welcome to join in any thread you please. If you wish to make a thread reserved just put For So-and-So in the topic description somewhere.
If a thread has more than two characters in it, it should follow an ABC posting order. A being the topic starter, B the second person who joins, C the third, and so on. This isn’t a must, just a suggestion so things don’t get out of hand and everyone can post. People sometimes find they have nothing to say and prefer to be skipped, we understand. Just make sure everyone gets a chance to respond and no one gets left behind.

-Strong language is allowed. People are dying out there, and we’re pretty sure people swear when they’re dying. But, only idiots swear every two seconds. We don’t like idiots. There are tons of languages out there, meaning you could find some word to describe how excited or enraged your character is. If we feel our members are abusing this privilege we will turn the filters on and all your post will have those stupid little stars. Ex: B****

-Detailed gore and violence are both allowed. If you want to describe the blood oozing from your arm after it’s been torn off, be our guest. Just be tactful when doing so. There is such a thing as too much, and we will tell you to cut it out if you abuse this.

-Sexual content is allowed. People do the nasty yes, we know this… otherwise you wouldn’t be here. Go thank mummy and daddy real fast. Even though casual and meaningless hook-ups happen in real life, we don’t want to hear every detail of your characters’ private life. If you feel the need to post a sexual encounter in the threads it must be relevant to the plot of the site and have a ‘®!’ as the first thing in the topic title; if you do not do that we will delete the thread immediately and you will have to post it all over again. Otherwise, just do that stuff over pm and hint at it in the forums.
No sexual images are allowed! No links to porn sites will be tolerated anywhere on this site! If you do this even once we will ban your ip address! We won’t even warn you, you will just be banned. If our members wanted to see that they’d take the safe search off google and enjoy themselves. We don’t want it here.

-No whining! We will do our jobs! Admins have a life too you know. We don’t spend our every waking moment online just to make this place pretty for you. If you feel the need to complain that your application is taking a while to be accepted or rejected go sit on your mum’s lap and pour your little heart out to her. We really don’t care. If you do complain over messages we will move you down to the last on the list. Why? We have the power, you don’t =P. And obviously you didn't read the rules hun.

-No OOC or (()) posts in the role play forums unless they have something to do with the role play itself. We don’t want you guys asking how everyone is while your character is being beaten to a bloody pulp. It’s distracting and why we made an OOC board. Please use it.

-Please be nice enough to tell us if you’re going to be inactive for awhile. We understand life likes to just ride you until there’s no tomorrow from time to time, you’re not alone, just tell us something’s up and you can’t post for a while. If you’re inactive for over 10 days we’ll pm/e-mail you a warning that you have 2 more days to either post something, or let us know something’s up. After that we’ll delete the account and move the character and threads to the trash bin.

-If you want us to do something to your account, such as changing your member title, pm an admin. We’ll let you know if we will or won’t.

-Respect the Admins, Mods, and fellow members. If you feel someone is being inappropriate for the forum, or if anyone is harassing you pm us. We like being bad ass and feeling cool when we stick up for our members.

-Keep Your Signature Size Within Reason.
Don't have a huge sign that takes up most of the screen, or warps the post size limits. I hate having to scroll just to read to the end of a sentence.

The warning system will follow these guidelines for the most part:

~ First time: Warning with PM will be sent to the offending account. We will let you know which rule you are violating so you can learn from the mistake and fix the problem.

~ Second time: you don’t fix the problem: We will suspend you for two hours and give you another warning. If it’s late at night we will suspend the account for the rest of the night.

~After second warning:
3 day suspension
5 day suspension
7 day suspension
Ban indefinitly, Email will be sent when you are unbanned
Perma-ban. Good bye and hasta lavista

Punishment system may be tweaked considering the circumstances, or mod/admin opinion. It's admittedly an imperfect system.
