Project XXVII

Smyrna
Roughly centered in the single landmass of "Project XXVII", the city called Smyrna expands over ceaselessly flat land underneath the pale viridian sky. In an effort to make the the city, historically one of the oldest constructs of the Asura, more hospitable, the foreign races erected large buildings, with foreboding columns and towers. Many of the original Asurian constructs, much smaller, stony houses, still remain. The edifices, of either origin, are congested, separated bunches with large spaces in between. If hopelessness is a universal emotion, all conscious beings feel it hardest, here.

Vertigo
West of Smyrna, is the large, seemingly bottomless pit that originally attracted otherworldly travelers to Project XXVII. With a circumference of several hundred miles, the pit is a haven for natural resources, both in fuel and in magical energy. However, the dangers and difficulties in making it down the pit halted any progress, finally bringing it to a standstill. Peter the Third, legendary sorcerer and now deceased member of the Legion, reputedly ventured into the pit to gain his immense power.

Zora
A permanent encampment of strange people of all races that, through an age old tradition long since developed by Asurian society's rejects, live in peace in harmony at the whims of a constant drug induced state of euphoria. The chemical, called Midma is stirred into large geysers, which launches it into the entire air supply. As a result, the air in Zora is blue and hazy, and without protection from inhalation, the effects are immediate, and often rather intense at first. The camp is largely underdeveloped, as the people live day by day.

The Church
A large cathedral located east of Smyrna, created from a strange black material that absorbs light and gives off a deep purple hue. Little is known of the place, even by the Asura themselves. Legends of many variety are told, but one thing is certain: while the outside is always the same, what lies beyond the twenty feet double doors, is ever changing.
